those tanks are interesting me a lot, and whenever i find a panther my poor T-34 is helpless.

Practice shooting Panthers with the 85mm at the range where there’s a way to frontally fight against Panthers which is the turret cheeks near the gunner’s optic that can kill all 3 crew members on the turret plus a damaged turret ring or the loader’s side near the coax MG. Sure fighting Panthers with T-34-85 can be tricky but takes practice to effectively fight them.
Shooting the side of the Panther with the 85mm can actually one shot as that’s where the ammo is.
Best spot to shoot Panther at the front with 85mm? also there’s tips on this thread about fighting panthers with 85mm too.
I don’t always get the chance to fight Panthers with the T-34-85 because I’m mostly infantry but when I need it, I roll it out. Even used it against Tigers sometimes.

technically the SU 100 would sit somewhere between the Jagdpanzer IV and the Jagdpanther. Would be interesting if we could get a real Jagdpanzer IV with the L70 gun vs a SU 100, and a ISU 152 vs Jagdpanther.
IS 2 tho would be worthy to be added even at this moment, since the IS1 is just a T34 with… well more mass?
Sure the IS 2 would have nice armor and such, but while the gun is massive, it has a really bad reload time, making it kinda comparable to tiger and Panther.
also, well panther was kinda inferior to the T34 85, but it got its survivability turned down a lot,( + turret bug was fixed )
right now both are almost equal, with the panther having the bonus of not penetrable hull armor, thus you need to shoot the turret, which issnt that big of a bonus … since there is so much rubble and trash laying around that the turret is the only thing hitable anyways…

su85 its a nice anti tiger tank.
no MG against inf, but if you intend to only play against tanks, on a custom match, worth, every single cent.
i recommend the gold order one:

wish its HE would be better, having no MG makes these kind of tanks really pointless
another question:
the guns seem to mantain the same caliber, sometimes gaining just a few millimiters, are they stronger or is their performance the same?
for example th SU mantains the same caliber of all other T 34
it seems to me they added a bit of “magic” to those tank hunters. Like the Panther has problems penetrating the SU 85M even tho is shouldnt have problems to do so.
Same for the event Jagdpanzer IV, since it is only the early Jagdpanzer IV with the regular Stug gun is also only has 60mm of armor, which shouldnt be strong enough to bounce T34 85s gun, yet it does. These vehicles have much stronger armor than they should have.
Guess they did that for balance, but then again, these vehicles have very little anti infantry power - making them not contribute at playing the objective, thus stronger HE guns could fix that.
