Since the official do not want a sov vs jap the easiest way to add new jap map is a new allie vs jap so either this or other US vs jap would do but personally i prefer this since it more niche than pelilieu or okinawa or something

since they are so reluctant to do sov vs jap make it low br i guess whatever they need it for variety

They have the Chinese for that, the war with China began even before the Second World War, the Japanese wanted China no matter what.

The Japanese fought throughout Asia, including the Philippine Islands among others.

There is plenty of content for maps, but there is no desire to do anything on the part of DF.
