Actually way common in wwII especially early on. The Pole Calvary for instance was actually mounted horse warriors. These were heavily used to move artillery when trucks or people weren’t available, and supplies etc… some us of horse could be hilarious also.
His is some period info on it from WIKI
It was discussed many times already.
There is no justification for the ammount of work needed to properly model and animate a horse. Yes, they were used is great number, but in logistics sector. Nobody (maybe with very few exceptions) actually rode horses into the battle.
So devs should rather focus on improving vehicle models instead of waisting time on horses.
Yes vehicles will probably sell better than horses… with that said though I do think it would add enjoyment to the game. Thing is though I would put fixing bugs and game balancing before adding in new elements… but frankly horses are a type of vehicle — just maybe not as cool tanks and planes are way more exciting to people usually atleast when I was younger it was that way also horses can’t be god moded as easily as a TIGER 99
plus I’m sure they could just rip some mount and blade code to get it working.
You know lots of source … now don’t get me wrong I don’t expect devs to drop everything and start working on partisan riding horses or methed up german calvary storm troopers jumping through second floor windows etc… but eventually might be fun to see.

Horses are used primarily for logistics during WW2. There were times it was used in combat but, it went about as well as you’d expect outdated cavalry charging a firing line.
lol wut?
“yeah just take this code from a different engine and slap it in bam done”
Spawn horse
Horse and player died die artillery before even reach the point or killing anything
Repeat
What a fun.
