Historical Cadence of the MG42/45

We now have the FG42 Damage Boost comparable to its counterparts. And also the First FG42 received its historic cadence of 900

It would be awesome to see this with the MG42 TT/Early and MG45 machine guns as well.

Not only an increase in Rate of Fire but also a reduction in bullet spread, Reload Speed whether with the belt or with the Drum Magazine

The MG42 100 has a slow reload speed unlike the MG81 and MG34 with Magazine Patronentrommel, also the MG34’s 50-round magazine loads faster

He longed to see this arrangement towards the German Machine Guns And also be able to use the Corresponding Cadence to be able to attack in a More effective and consistent with my Fallschirmjäger

The MG-42 should have a faster firing rate, and similarly, Axis players should stop complaining about the RD-44 as a result. Additionally, the US technology tree needs better machine guns.

Dunno, higher rof feels like a nerf.

If you don’t like the high rate of fire you can fire in bursts. But if you still don’t like it then the problem is yours not the weapon’s.I say this with good intentions in case it is interpreted in a bad way.

I simply want the weapon to receive its corresponding Rate of Speed

MG42 SHOULD be used only with bursts tho, regardless of nerf or buff, 1200 rpm is the only rate of fire that will feel right.

Brrrt Brrrt Brrrt!

A lot of other things should do different but here we are.

But the current issue is not yours but the weapon I guess?

Higher rof was mainly used for anti aircraft.

No 1200 rpm was standard configuration

Well, iirc there was no number mentioned as ROF buff anyways and the Wiki screenshot shows multiple numbers.
And I am aware that some people want to give it 1500+ or even 1800.

The 1800 are from the MG42V(MG45) and the 1500 are from the MG42 With the light bolt since the standard (factory) is 1200

The MG42 has an incorrect rate of fire of 990 instead of the 1200-1500 it should have.Just as the Historical Rate of Fire of the FG42 (900) was increased The same should be done with the MG42 and MG45

British 1943 manual mentions 1100-1150 RPM for MG42 (and mentions 1500 RPM from german manuals) Pages 24&26.

There’s also interesting mention of ‘MP34/1 Bergman’ with 850 RPM - page 18. Image at page 19 shows it to be an early version of MP35, also made by Bergman. Can we assume MP35 have high RoF as well?

It’s just the truth

i just cant believe that you would admit that standard configuration was 1200rpm… i thought that sun rose from west today…

That’s obvious, but I always want to put the weapon at its maximum firepower.

1000 rpm is enough for me, any more is just wasteful

bigger number does not always mean better

For me 1760 of the MG81 are very good either in bursts or continuous shooting I want to see the machine guns with their high rate of fire that were made known in WW2.

most of the ROF you want were unknown cause they were used for AA or used on plane. only ROF that is famous is mg42 with its 1200rpm.
