i am recent player and i found out most of the uniforms in enlisted are for some reason very unrealistic looking. Some of them even seem like a fantasy to me, be it allies or axis.
Particular the german uniforms don’t have any eagle or hakenkreuz (swastika) and missing the key elements.
As far as i know the nazi signs and emblems are already avaible to use in games and media since 2018 in Germany.
And this game heavily surpress any accuracy with uniforms and also division symbols (logos).
Can i know what’s the reason for this?
Can’t we have historically accurate uniforms AND also customization for it please?
I would like the devs to answer if possible. Thank you!
It’s been a long debate since the launch of the game. Player wants it, Gaijin don’t want.
Some law are still on, in Russia.
The dev don’t want to take the risk to create a polemic in the game industry. “Wait they wear swastika, and they are not the ennemies? They are your teamates?!”
I think they have already answer this subject in a question asked in a dev blog or Make Enlisted Better Place. But I can’t find it.

i mean if there even is some country that has trouble with SS or swastika then just censor it for that specific country only?
Or add this to the low violance mode so it can be switch on by default and those who don’t like it can switch it off right?
I don’t mind the lack of symbols/insignia and whatnot (Actually think it would be a good idea for them to add in these small details as payed customization, and allow uniform color, helmets, etc be free customization). My problem is just the uniforms themselves. I’m not a huge history buff or knowledgeable about historical WW2 uniforms and correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t most of the uniforms in game inaccurate to some degree? Like I can’t find photos of the super dark blue uniforms you find on the Germans in Moscow.
It is weird that why they are no eagle on german uniform yet, since Stalingrad german hat already has it, I think this is not related to the law(only for eagle, not swastika). I think the developer want to play safe at first, but later discover the eagle is not violating the law so they added it on Stalingrad German hat. They didn’t have time or just lazy to add it on the existing uniform.
Everyone here talking about if the German uniforms should have Swastikas meanwhile the American paratroopers over here still running the god damn PJ uniform.
We will never be getting Swastikas or SS runes because of the laws in certain countries, but it would be nice if Germans could get something to fill those empty spots on their uniforms.
We already talked about it above with upolaf. The ss rune and hakenkreuz will be censored only in those sensitive countries but depend if devs are willing to do that.
asset management becomes real chore when you have to juggle couple of different versions. mistakes happen and there would be a meltdown if they allowed non censored version in censored country. cause you know snowflakes.
Even though personally I’d love to see more historical accuracy (at least reich eagles without the naughty cross),
with the zealous gatekeeping of history by Russian authorities in recent years (and people actually getting prison time), I don’t think the devs want to risk any of that (or getting their game banned on the Russian market).
