High level squads shouldnt take this much longer to upgrade

starting level squads start out with ~1000 XP required to get the first upgrade, some of my higher level (not top tier) squads take 12k XP from beginning and makes me quite a burden for my team (while im using the squad) for a many matches while im using them.

Why is it even a thing that higher level squads take more XP to upgrade? and if yet, this much?

i grinded to be able to use the squad and i get squad with 3-4 members which i need to grind further to use properly? multiple matches for each level?

this is very frustrating and I end up using lvl 1 squads only

Yeah high end squads are a pain in the ass to level up, particularly in the first levels were you don’t have engineer and not so many soldiers. You should you use previously leveled up soldier in the new squad to level up faster.

tips for making it easier arent the solution, it hurts the gameplay of both the user and its teammates

I agree in principle, but there does need to be some kind of barrier to letting people run 3 identical assault squads back to back.

currently there is no such barrier, such lineups being limited only by the time of grind.

if you find that to be a problem for whatever reason, seek different solutions.

Because you’re expected to get exasperated and eventually fork out the gold.

I thought something was off as I only ever seem to bring early unlock squads because of how low level the higher ones are. But yeah, it should be just as easy to level later squads as it is early ones. I don’t see a downside to flattening the grind curve. If anything, this would allow for your teammates to be better armed than just a dude with a rocket launcher.

It’s a way to artificially increase the grind and to keep players in the game when the majority of the players are completionist And when set person completes everything and unlocks everything they take a break from the game until something new is added.

it seems to me that the problem for community (and thus the game itself) to become such is that game modes are relatively repetitive (yes, there is variety, but not enough i’d say), i thought adding a new, large scale, strategic, bigger game mode would fix this issue (amongst the others), what do you think?

i tried pushing that as a suggestion too, but not much progress had been seen so far

that would be lovely if it were a thing but the engineer fortifications they need to be buffed so they’re not so fragile and a majority of the player base are more interested in fast-paced gameplay instead of strategic gameplay or using their brain.

I fully agree: they need to spend their resources making more and better maps and game modes rather than packing in more and more levels to grind.

People should want to keep playing for the fun games rather than to unlock the next shiny… That’s just an unsustainable game model.

similar thing is with planetside 2 and it worked well… though, the result wasnt fully ideal, it is very satisfying to both parties
