1.Nikolai Kabalin
He was once a member of the 1st Guards Airborne Division of the Soviet Union, and later transferred to the 21st Guards Mechanized Brigade Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 8th Guards Mechanized Corps. He was awarded: Hero of the Soviet Union. Order of Lenin, 2 Red Star Medals.

2.John Baskeyfield
A member of the British 1st Airborne Division, he fought to the last moment of his life at the Battle of Arnhem. he was the English recipient of the Victoria Cross.
