Hero Bonus of +20% exp for squads that include a Battle Pass unique soldier (which are purchased for 750 gold or a gold order each) does not calculate correctly; the 1.2 multiplier is listed in the summary, but the exp total does not include +20%.
The issue has been reported at least 3 times, misdiagnosed at least twice by ‘friendly helpers’, and dismissed at least once by a forum moderator.
While investigating, I read a lot of other reported issues and bugs, many unresolved, most I personally would consider esoteric and forgivable … but not this one. Not fixing this one is IMO bad business, poor customer support, and deceptive.
The (flawed) Hero Bonus was implemented in the Sept 2024 update, and will be a nice feature when the calculation is corrected.
Since players have been shortchanged the last 5 months. I suggest a nice gesture by Gaijin would be to increase the bonus to +100% for the next six months (multiplier 2), convert this negative issue to a positive outcome, and encourage players to research & more appreciate true heroes, of whom many were cited for lives saved rather than enemies killed.
