why would they need it? they’ve got the STG-44 and the G43 in 8mm Mauser, more than enough to compete with the M2 Carbine and the M1 Garand, nevermind the SVT-40, AVT-40, and that AS-44’s;

I’d be grateful that I’m not suggesting giving the M1918 to riflemen.

I’ve done exactly that ± half year ago. And I definitely wasn’t the first, lol.

Anyway, my personal guess is that American will eventually get tech tree variant of T20. Or some very similar weapon.
