Here are the reasons why halftrack are usefull and not pointless like you believe ( if implemented correctly )

damn

:flushed:

i am glad that erika realized that half tracks are madness in current game

you’re quite wrong about that tbh

and no, not even for a second.

i will stand my ground.

you will stand your ground… you will not drive halftrack :stuck_out_tongue:

you’re in for surprises

we’ll see who will laugh for last.

but you still havent described playstyle of half tracks on current maps. where is the place for half tracks on open maps like d-day, ver-su-mer, la perelle village, or on some other maps that are mostly inside buildings (like some berlin maps). they will either be in full open and die easily, or useless cause they cant enter buildings.

if you are incompentent. not my problem.

but you should stand back and let the others show you how it’s done.

Halftracks?

Y not.

sure show me… tell me how you will use half tracks on those maps when you are so capable.

i will.

just you wait.

In case of urban maps you just ram them into buildings or leave them on the streets. At least that’s how I understand it.

As for d-day and ver sur mer, no idea but erika said that will be the most usefull there so I’m waiting for explenations with impatience.

there are different kind of urban maps. those like berlin where you have cap zone deep inside massive building (so useless) and those like in normandy (forgot the name) where you can hide it behind some building (potential usefulness if you avoid tanks on the way there).

You mean Omer probably. I’d say they would be mildly usefull there. Basically rush, hide APC behind a corner, place a rally and forget about your truck. Assuming you won’t be sniped by an enemy tank of course.

-AHEM!-

What if a player controlled halftrack - troop carrier was automatically also a mobile rally point?

Or, even further, players had the ability to interact with it to spawn (default) soldiers replacing dead AIs in their squad, thus getting some reinforcements without draining tickets?

i guess that’s another reason that halftrucks could be used for.

no " enemy nerby bs " but more cooldowns between each player spawns and how many times you can spawn on it.

could be an idea

it would need distance from cap point in which it cant spawn troops or it would be OP. you cant have vehicle get into cap point and act as a rally point.

for replacing dead soldiers it would be abusable fast… left with 1 soldier, insta refresh to 9 soldiers without wasting tickets, repeat and rinse…

I’d still keep that limitation tho.

I wouldn’t want to be spawning straight in the middle of a firefight.

i could see that being exploitable as well.
