I have two important questions which i really need an answer for, so i know which campaigns to grind:
I know the devs said we will KEEP ALL the squads we already unlocked through the progression system, but…
Will we still be able to UNLOCK ALL the currently existing squads after the merge?
I love history, so since every squad is based of a real life existing squad from ww2 with its unique history, i really need to know if we will still be able to unlock ALL the currently existing squads after the merge or will multiple ones be removed?
So the second question now:
Will some of the current squads from the same specialization loose their unique appearance with the merge update?
Some squads from the same specialization got different, cool looking uniforms. Will these uniforms be removed and replaced with a single “machinegunner uniform” and all machinegunner squads will look the same after the merge?
Example: we have these two squads, will the uniforms be removed and replaced so every machinegunner will look the same?
as those will still be there for those who owns them.
yes and no.
yes, if those units will end up in theather that they were never supposed to be in, most likely yes.
for example, you may not encounter luftwaffe units in moscow despite previously having the camouflages.
winter units might get some different presets if will end up in the desert / thundra.
at least, what’s what we know when they answered regarding moroc units in the pacific.
some of them will get different color variations and what not ( for premium ).
regarding the free to play counter varients, that has been said along time ago.
but it could change at any moment. and, might be outdated by now.
guess we’ll have to wait for more verifiable and updated info about the matter from officials.
and if any helpers are looking, would be apreciated if you could forward the request about what will happens to cosmetics will be very helpfull. or generally, a devblog dedicated to cosmetics more in depth.
as for me, i have the same concerns and long accepted the fact that most likely will change.
hence, even the customization that you bought, you will only see it in the correct enivorement. but not all.
making the overhall cosmetics thing larger and somewhat tideous.
i hope they will enhance the customozation. but we’ll see.
Ps. james can’t really tell you much beside follow the news.
( prove me wrong plz )
I understood that different theaters will change the uniforms, but with that example here (the two machinegunner squads from berlin above)
Lets say i get into a berlin match, with these two squads being from berlin, will they both be having unique uniforms, or will they get a common “berlin machinegunner” uniform?
yeah, they will get regular uniform of machineguneers.
unless you have customization on them that fit the enivorement.
which, now that i think about it, an alpha tester confirmed that volkksturm will still be a thing, and that there were going to be customization options for it:
but yeah… don’t really know much for the others. or how this information can somewhat translate for others
same
which, leds me to believe from a business perspective, there will be default uniforms, and then, if you want to dress them like you want ( for example, luftwaffe units, camouflages etc ) you will have to buy them through customization cards or gold.
for more choice ( based on every other title out there. i hope somewhat also will work that way here. )
Piling up on silver orders to buy as many Commonwealth brothers as I can as well. Italian troops too.
I doubt we will have as many “riflemen 1” soldier buy options than there are “riflemen 1” squads available for example. Will probably be a default USA or German rifleman, as Commonwealth and Italy are said to be subs…
I gave my Italians the Czech surplus lmg, the one with 20 bullets. For all the hate it got… Thing acts like a BAR when max star. It’s a room cleaner and surprisingly accurate at range (max star).
As for beretta m1. Best axis smg cost versus quality. Nothing better at 4 stars, and it surpasses mp40 (if only cause 40 bullets).
Simply because they’re not used seeing them. Most of their few tanker opponents are the sexy AB41. So they act cocky and roll into the open…
To get one shotted by any regular pz4 tanker.
The Shreck is really funny too.
As for the m38, I guess it’s because we see it in other campaigns, where there’s much, much better. Ppl overlook it. Moscow one is meh, thought. When you get Kiraly or mkb… even mp40 is more desirable because of the 32 rounds
