HELP: is there a way to remove the zoom while aiming?

Hello comrades!
I got a question. I dont really like the zoom while holding the aim button, i know that i can just tip on it and release and it will use the iron sights without zooming, but its kinda uncomfortable for me. Is there a way to hold down the aim button but without the unrealistic zoom? Thanks for the help.

Change binds is control settings. Change hold to tap and tap to hold.
I haven’t done it but it seems to be the best way.

The settings you would want to change in the binds under Weapons is Zoom and/or Aiming (2)

Is there a way to do the opposite, to have zoomed state by default when using iron sights rather than having to HOLD right mouse button to zoom?

I’ve played around with the keybindings and the settings to be somewhat broken for all 3 of the aiming keybinds. I believe the options are called “Aiming, Aiming 2, and Zoom.” I played around with various keybind settings for about a half hour an essentially broke aiming and was forced to revert to the default keybind settings.

You want the zoom with shift key (default) to be the way you aim?

The shift key is holding breath/focus. Not really a zoom although it does zoom in further.

On PC, if you quick tap right mouse button, you enter iron sights mode. But you must HOLD right mouse button to zoom in further and/or use the scope. It is somewhat awkward to be forced to HOLD down the right mouse button rather than have it set to a toggle. That’s my complaint. And I’ve tried every combination I could think of in the key bindings, and it definitely “breaks” aiming if I play with it outside of the default spec. It’s been this way since Enlisted launched.

This is default (made up example):
Aiming 1 - click RMB
Aiming 2 - hold RMB
Change it to:
Aiming 1 - hold RBM
Aiming 2 - click RBM

It should work. If it doesn’t, make a bug report and wait.

Take note: I didn’t change aiming controls myself so I have no idea if it works. I was messing with other controls and based my experience with them, it should work.

Yes, if I make any changes, it screws up aiming. I’ve tried exactly what you’ve suggested. The only way to go back to default and fix aiming IS to click the default button and restore all controls. So that’s the way I’ll have to leave it if I wish for any sort of decent gameplay.

I should note that changing other controls has not resulted in any sort of issue besides the right mouse button/aiming edits which are troublesome.

Then all I can advice is to make a bug report.
