Help a newbie, Should I adquire this tank?

Hello. I’m rather new to this game. Today I recieve a golden token for a vehicle. As I play mainly with germans i thoought in adquiring a Tiger (my wife favorite tank). But when I select the Tiger it doesnt show my tank squadron as avaible. There is a purple cross. My current tank squadron is in a Semovente 73/32 M41.
Can i used any way? Or what should I do?

You probably did a newcomer mistake.
In short, you need to unlock Panther A in the tech tree. That unlocks 3rd Panzer Regiment image squad and you need it to use the Tiger.
