So, the basic problem that German in Berlin has low winning rate is not how strong USSR is. It is that the initial experience is too bad, so there are not enough real player play German. Not many people can stand the pain in the beginning, even German becomes stronger in the higher level.
Now nerfing the USSR will drain a lot of USSR players, which makes the win rate more “balanced”. But it did not solve the fundamental problem, and maybe made more players have a poor experience in Berlin.
this is some real wargaming logic… how about we give them a reason to play germany like a 100% boosters for 10 battles or a free german golden order weapon
I am expecting with the next BP that we will FINALLY receive the assaulter III squad with the STG44 or MP43/1, that would make people want to grind out and play berlin more a lot.
Because for me i dont really care anymore, playing since june with G43, K98k, MP40, MG42 just got too repetitive, and since we havent received new infantry weapons in a while it has gotten boring
The problem across all campaigns is that the playerbase seems to be absolutely braindead. This is expecially apparent for the german side. Don’t even try to claim you are the exception to this, because I’m referring to the hordes of braindead people that play worse than BOTS.
Germany has a tougher start in Berlin with the weapons for sure. I’m always entertained when people complain about balance in this game when the issue is the players themselves in the games. I completed Axis and mid-way through Soviet and it feels no different than Normandy, Moscow or Tunisia; either your side has more talented players or the other side does, it has less to do with the weapons. You will find this same sentiment from other end game players who post.
I really do think they need to add a better variety off weapons especially for germany such the Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer broom handle, Suomi KP/-31 (varied magazine sizes) and the ZK-383 (moscow and berlin)
So let’s take lehrter banhoff, the enemy takes the main room on the side they have an angled corridor so you cannot shoot into their spawn but that doesn’t mirror so they can shoot into your spawn, they have a 71 round, mag reload, gun with a higher rof, a bigger mag and less recoul than the german alternatives which require you to lie down under enemy fire which gets you killed, the beretta having high spread and a slow rof doesn’t get to just burst people, I’ve been playing Moscow and even the ppd is just so unfair the germans have the exact same or in a couple situations worse smgs going into berlin
Doesn’t have to. Each factions should use different tactics in campaigns. Russians have good reason to charge ahead as fast as possible, their weapons are designed as such.
German ones aren’t made to charge like Russians do… But in no way it means they are bad! Try ambushing, attacking from a safer distance, flanking, etc.
Especially if you compound the problem further, lets say you’re playing destruction and you manage to kill 3 squads of ppsh users, you won’t be able to hold the objective while more squads of the same rush in for the unbareably slow detonation
Lol what? I drop tons of PPD/PPSH users with my Berettas and my MP35s. Quit blaming the gun. I can actually hold a tighter group at longer ranges with the M38 (therefore more rounds on target) than with a PPsH
