Health perks

I’ve stopped using premium squad once my campaign was maxed. I find regular machineguns squads more attractive due to variety, having lmg + ing + sniper is very very handy in my opinion

The only thing i kinda dislike is that you cant actually gain health perks for regular soldiers with current implementation. They just dont get enough vitality stats even being 5 stars :frowning:

i don’t even have a prem squad thoguh i’ll probably buy the russian or the one of the 2 in the normandy campaign since the british is coming last

how is pioneer squad i han’t encountered them at the field

disappointing, unfortunately
whoever coded this flamethrower probably never played enlisted, like a collection of most weird and bad decisions all in one gun, a knife does better, and its pathetic

and i thoguht it became good shit due to it being higher level and them saying that it got a buff and could light wooden buildings aflame

its a 10m effective range weapon which also creates kind of ‘splash’ with contact in anything, means in the house you’re going to burn yourself, leaning around the corner most likely burn yourself, firing at the someone in front insta death, firing in someone from behind / side is random (you’re gonna get shot by someone behind you), AI dont like framethrower and tend to aim for you all the time, to burn real player - almost impossible, to burn premium unit - impossibe. On top of this - having 10m effective range, being not able to shoot from the cover - you need at least 1 second to actually ignite someone, by this time you aready spend 4-5 ‘bullets’ and collect enough aggro to get raped, and then the guy on fire should burn for another 1-2 seconds, which he obviously not going to do as you’re already dead.

Overall - i see no real scenario with the current implementation that would allow flamethrower to be used effectively, not a single one of all game mods and maps. Its a close range weapon with time to kill around 2-3 seconds and aggro level 85, in a game where you die almost instantly. Total bullsh1t, imho. Thats the only single thing in this game that really lets me rage quit and works as total demotivator.

If only they gave it the historical 30odd meters of range

@5762269 @36751344 no idea if its just a random or something got changed, but sometimes flamethrower can be fun when people and bots ignor you. Btw, at the and of this video a premium dude with PPK was burn by a bot!

well, honestly. looks like better than before.

so i think that it has been somewhat, reworked?

.
but if you say that a knife is better… there’s something not right here.

Weeeell, you see - i was camping there, it took me time to flank, to set there mobile spawn, to get into the building close to spawn and then i’ve tried to hunt a guy running from the left house to the capture point. This distance was actually joke - but for flamethrower its a challenge, i had to move out of the building and actually chase him (thats what i actually expected running out of this house). Normaly you would emmideately get shot in the back or in your face when you start burning. This time it wosnt, i’ve noticed players close to me and somehow they were distracted by the fire so much that none of the bots actually killed me through i’ve spent many time in front of 2 squads.

In such conditions every weapon could be good. Flamethrower is just fun, but most of the time you’re gonna suffer.

Overall - playing flamethrower will require from you tactical moves and ambushes, many of which are gonna fail. But those succeeded are actually worth it, thats the only reason i prefer this squad now and before wipe.

Medkits are the worst thing in the game currently… nobody should be able to stuff their own guts back in and keep fighting.

Enlisted need a Medic role.

(Like in Reality where Medics save light wounded Soldiers…)

And ofc. Realistic Damage and HP model.

The way it’s implemented is acceptable, as you come back at a sliver of health anyway.

Maybe if you want to make it more realistic, implement Arma III’s system of having penalized mobility as well as an occasional haze of pain.
Self-treatment under fire is a real thing, and it’s actually preferable because it doesn’t tie up someone else.

As for the OP, yeah I’m all for removing health perks altogether. Nothing is more frustrating than doing everything right while the enemy still isn’t fazed.
Also while we’re talking about that, is it normal for it to take 3 or 4 shots from a pistol to bring someone down? Always seems like the case when I have to dismount from a tank. It’s doable with a luger, but with the nagant revolver it seems like you’re better off just using your knife because it can’t get enough shots out to hurt anyone.

Medics never entered warzones to take wounded away from there when combat was still ongoing. They would be behind enemy lines, unarmed as arming them would be a war crime, and heal soldiers brought to them. Only after a battle would they go out there to search for wounded.

A medic class has no place in a shooter like this.

There are damage multipliers per body part, afaik. Only no mobility penalties for getting shot in the leg or anything like that.

will having mobility penalties on getting shot at leg and help be fun??? I personally believe it will add a new level of immersion! But people may cry “too rEaLiStIc”

Arming medics isn’t a war crime, but arming chaplains is.
Medics would be on the front lines, but they aren’t common enough for them to be everywhere.

There were some famous conscientious objectors who wouldn’t carry a weapon but went to the frontline unarmed as medics anyway.

Actually arming anyone that has the markings of a meding is in fact a war crime. They fall under the “relieve aid” troops that are not allowed to be shot at yet also may not enter known conflict area’s when fighting is ongoing. They are also not allowed to carry weapons as a result.

You can have normal soldiers with medic training, sure, but not dedicated medics.

Its actually illegal to use the red cross on anything that is not a medical unit. So a video game depiction is not an actual unit, so these depictions technically violate the geneva convention. XD
On a different note, arming medics or shooting medics with a red cross or any official building, plane, ship, etc with the red cross intentionally is a war crime under the geneva convention. Just because its not always enforced doesn’t mean its not a war crime

Shake n’ bake baby

That was what I was referring to. You can’t arm a medical unit
