healing aura as in you get better heal (slightly faster heal to 100% of your health instead of inherent 60%) when you’re near their medic bag. it simulates that you are getting additional care after receiving your first aid (bandages). this will help to sustain the survivability of the defenders a little bit better and makes medics actually help with defense.

I’d rather medics be improved. For example medics can potentially earn more xp if the Devs changed how AI interact with medic boxes. If bots automatically took a medkit from a med box then medics would probably become some of the highest xp earners (out of all the infantry, not accounting tanks or planes)

i used to be against medics, strongly.
until i actually tried them.
and well, there are larger areas of improvements ( such as, being able to refill syringes at the cost of one medkit from the medic crate, at least one engineer or more role classes. to be similar to engineers. 6 in numbers. and several specialists. and of course, improve the medics healing. because sometimes they either stray too far, or in offense, they don’t heal )
medics are actually a good xp squads because healing does give good xp.
and, aids to keep more soldiers alive.
granted, medics are more useful in PVEs.
but they can hold their own in pvp as well.
it’s about covering more areas with medkits, and keep soldiers alive.
TTK might be fast, but you can save or aid troopers on points.
it also serves as saving people medkits for when they go down ( increasing their survival chances ) as well as keep them up in fighting conditions opposed as making them pull back in the fight to heal and waste their medkit )
despite having few soldiers than originally having started with ( lets say, you had a 7/9 men squad, after some explosions or firefight, you end up with only 3/4 soldiers, ) you can replenish health for those members and use it as a strike team from the sides.
smaller squads can be best suited to hunt rallies and move indiscreetly without having a larger squad which can be a dead give away due to their spacing.
now that im thinking maybe we lose games cause there are people roleplaying.

medics allow soldiers to continue fighting without them wasting time in long animations of healing them selves with medkits or waste their own medkits. that time instead of healing themselves can be used to more fighting. and saving their medkits leads to them being able to use it later if all medics are dead, or being able to get downed opposed as dead. because if you don’t have any medkits, even if you have a greater chances of get downed, you will die because you lack medkits.
they are also faster at reviving people and can give more health or medkits in general to other soldiers.
it’s not useless as you seem to naively believe.
as stated, medics could use benefits to the base squad to cover more roles ( one engineer would make a night and day difference being able to be a substantial support role squad ) and other classes to cover different roles.
personally, i’m against revival or aureas.
but we could give it a shot.
In fact there is a very crazy strategy I have seen of a medic behind a squad healing everyone while they sweep the point
