Having some fun

With the merge I was able to research some silly goofy stuff and have fun.
I started off with a shotgun-only preset for Germany. Two Engineer squads and an Assaulter squad, fully equipped with Luftwaffe Drillings. I had to get way up close, but it also taught me the value of grenades and flanking.
I then graduated to a Volkssturm preset. VG 1-5s, M30 Drillings, VG.2s, and MP-3008s with a JagdPanzer IV squad to bring them into late war battles. The VG 1-5 is still monstrous up in BR V just because of how many bullets you can spam, and the MP-3008 may be a piece of shit but it’s still full auto. Meanwhile, the Panzerfaust is just an absolute menace to enemy tanks.
For the USA I’ve started using the flame Stuart. I found the flamethrower underwhelming at first, but then I realized that it’s because flame tanks are situational. On maps like the Pacific, there’s lots of hills and chokepoints where tanks don’t really get free range to zoom around lawn-mowing the enemy team. But on flatter maps, like Gavutu, Airfield and Ardennes, you can charge into a group of enemies, fire up your flamethrower, and start lighting people up and running them down, OR spinning around while spewing flames like some Beyblade from Hell. And they don’t know what to do because they don’t expect tankers to say “fuck it we ball”.

I disagree.

MP-3008, in the game, is a great weapon. With moderate recoil, you can fire short, sharp bursts at several targets without having to rush to reload.

VG 1-5 should be much better. It’s a carbine in 7.92mm kurz caliber. In other words, at medium ranges, one hit should take out the enemy. But in the game, at medium distances you only inflict superficial wounds.

I still do, I never use the damn thing because my handheld flamethrower shoots twice as far.
But I should start to use it and add it to my 3 flamethrower squads.

Anyway, I see you like flamethrowers…?
