The bikes sound really fun and interesting, but they could also be used to help address the huge problem of bomber spam.
If the MG on them could aim all the way up to the sky they could be used to shoot at planes, which gives them even more utility.
This would add decent mobile AA to the game, which is one of the things a lot of people have been asking for, to counter super toxic bomber spam.
Why not use hand healed MG instead of wasting a vehicle?
This adds another use for the bikes, and helps address a huge problem the game has.
You can still just use an MG, but the one on bikes/MG nests is vastly better. Which is also why MG nests should be able to aim at the sky, too.
I don’t think the motorcycles will have much use against planes but I could be wrong. A jeep mounted 50 cal or MG42 probably would.
The most encouraging thing about this news is that we might get some dedicated mobile AA guns that definitely could help to cut down on plane spam …

just like what @70458067 said, you hardly are going to do much against an airplane.
due to the low ““gun depression””.
it’s roughly 15° ( maybe more ).
but not enough to face planes without getting shoot at by the infantry and rough terrain that does not help.
and not all factions have bikes with mgs.
The motorbike mounts could elevate to a relatively high angle - but you couldn’t aim them - unless you contorted yourself to be upside down somehow…
