It’s a no-brainer I should not have a guy on the enemy team two zones away from where he’s supposed to be with his entire squad and he’s single-handedly kills everyone in the area. falling back needs to start happening much faster, A maximum of 30 seconds before it starts killing you and your squad This way we don’t have people who are waiting on the prowl for every squad that comes his way.
Personally I think thats a viable rear guard strategy. At the same time it can (and often does) bite you in the ass if you are no where near your cap to defend.
Personally I prefer Battlefields RUSH method.
The battle area doesnt progress until all defenders have either pulled back or Eliminated. All remaining defenders are marked on map.
Something like that would really help, because I’ve noticed five or so minutes after an objective change people still haven’t fallen back and they’re hiding in corners waiting for someone to run by
I stick around cuz I like ambushing (viable tactic btw) and small maps are boring so its one of the few times the map is bigger. I like it personally
Why tho? Dealing with remaining pockets of resistance is also part of the attack, unless you wish to have your flanks/backlines harrased.
I often stick around after the loss of a point myself to cover the regrouping of my team as well as pick off enemies that rush ahead without a single though. The 30 - 60 sec you get, before getting grayzoned is completely fine in most cases to allow for delaying actions as well as a slow retreat.
Sounds more like you just want to rush objectives only without worrying about flanks nor any other parts of the battlefield.
It does not really bother me when people hang around to ambush. It is annoying I agree, just as people (like me) dropping every anti personal mine in the squad, snipers and grey zone tanks are annoying, but what do they say? “War is hell”.
Yes. I made a forum post about this EXACT topic. The BF I & V Rush and Invasion/Operations gameplay made the game have a proper amount of pace as well as a literal gameplay mechanic that was realistic with the battles IRL. Clear a sector before moving or else you would be surrounded. Enlisted has a serious rushing the objective problem where the game isn’t even fun to play, objectively, the objective is rushed so fast that there is no ability to defend. It’s an absolute miserable experience and a true BLITZ. Invasion should be like BFV Operations.
It’s not so much the 30 to 60 second, it’s when objectives are still too close that an objective has moved twice and there’s still a guy 200 m away almost. I don’t mind being outplayed by somebody lurking around a corner, but when that’s all you encounter every single match it gets old fast especially when you watch another squad plus yours get gunned down by a machine gunner
