Is it me or someone already encounter HDD failure/damage? after playing the game for almost 3 mos now, I noticed that my 3rd replaced HDD, the game is somewhat pushing my HDD’s to the limit causing all of my previous and the currrent to fail.
My PC specs: POTATO BUILD (Please don’t judge)
CPU: AMD A87650k
RAM: 8GB
GPU: GTX 1050 2GB
SSD : 128GB
HDD 1: damage
HDD2: damage
HDD3: Seek error/failure
Do you have everything on minimum?
minimum settings? Yes minimum settings and still average between 40-60fps during game.
Dang, I only average 30fps. The laptop just isn’t the way it seems.
You are on laptop? Mine got 60-80 with a catch of freezing sometimes but it definitely better than crashing (altho sometimes that freeze turn to crash)
i would reccomend you to switch out the hdd to a ssd for games
The ye oldie hdd struggle a bit with newer games in the long run since there are so much data being used and the disc inside a hdd spins at top speed, to keep up with the usuage and might end up damaging it in the long run.
While a ssd have no moving parts so it dont get same “wear and tear”
How?
Idk tbh I just set it to no limit (I’m pretty sure that what it call in setting I will check later)
- games dont cause HDD to fail
- if you have damage on all 3 of your HDD, you probably have bad power supply or other hardware related problem (or you are unluckiest guy with hdd)
- buy bigger SSD for games. you can get 256GB for ~20$ and 500GB for ~30$.
HDD damage dont come from the game… I suggest you to follow @robihr suggestioni and get your PC get checked ASAP
Yup I suspected all of these. I will upgrade my rig eventually
Or throw that PC away, I guess. I did so my last one, someone came and gobbled that thing away. Because the last time I went outside, it was gone. Got a muuuch better machine now, of course.
Its my gaming PC for about 13 now I think. Pretty dusty. Just got my interest in games because of Enlisted.
Jesus Christ dude I’m amazed you’re even able to game with only 2gb of VRAM… AND combined with a A87650k! Ditto to what’s already been said, game isn’t the reason your PC is having issues, it’s just a symptom, not a cause. Idk what your comfort level is, but I’d recommend either building a new PC or buying a good prebuilt. Entry level hardware is very cheap now for the performance!
It appears that my problem is the Power Supply Unit. Well my comfort tells me that 40-60fps is still playable.
I swap my extra PSU and that fixed the problem, by the way I do believe in Jesus Christ son of the Father, creator of all.
John 10:30
30: I and the Father are one.”
Well you can pray for a new pc then, let’s see when you receive it
Didn’t ask.
