Halloween Event Deserters

Listen, if you’re not going to finish the game (or go AFK after 2 minutes) just don’t play—unless you’re trolling, which I suspect many people are doing. There are far too many people quitting very shortly after joining a game –—I suspect many of whom may be people who don’t like the event and just want to ruin it for everybody else. Go throw your tantrum someplace else!

I have had two matches when someone deserted, and luckily, we won both. :joy: The first time the deserter and myself were both down waiting to be healed while the giant was running around. Every time, they healed the deserter first while I kept yelling to my computer, “STOP HEALING THAT GUY”, he quit a while ago. :joy: But yeah, it just makes it that much harder when you remove someone from the fold.

yea if they dont want to play or dont like it then dont play, there is literally no reason for them to play at all.

also btw if you see me gone in a match that mean i crash, it happen pretty regularly tbh

I had one match where 2 of our players left. First guy left at the start probably didnt like the map or something. Second guy left because we couldnt heal him immediately due to the giants chasing us. Somehow we still managed to win and evacuate even if we were on our own. I liked that match but i still think there should be better punishments for deserters. Or let people join ongoing matches for better rewards

@noktinnky_noktin - same here, crashing to desktop a LOT, always try to re-connect but it takes time to restart the game and all. Often one crashes again right after. Takes the fun out of playing to be honest :frowning:

Yeah, I think that is why my first deserter left as he didn’t think he was being healed fast enough. I realize when I am down and the giant is chasing I might have to wait a while, especially if there is only one guy still active and the rest are waiting to be healed. I let my girlfriends 15 year old son play sometimes. He could be really good except he wants to do his own thing and not keep up with the other three. I keep telling that lagging to far behind the others is the kiss of death in this game as if he gets hurt, they might not come back to heal him and it would take forever to crawl after them all the way acrost the map. He does the same when I let him play the regular enlisted, just goes for kills and not concerned about objectives. He is the kind of player I hate as a team mate. :joy:

The only boss that I hate and struggle with is the one that throws around the blue sparkly Marshmellows. I don’t know what else you would call his weapons. :yum: The laser boss is the easiest for me as I just drop and shoot him while his laser goes over me. I think I lost my first 4 or 5 games, but have since won I would say 3 out of every 4 since then. A couple I won not by my contributions as I sucked in a couple games, but because we had one really good player.

what does help sometimes is if you are downed, you can try to crawl and block the zombies/demons/bosses from going after those that are still alive, giving them a chance to stay ahead, to throw their nades right next to them and unloading their guns - even works great with random teams (at least with those players that get what you are doing).

These post endlessly crying of deserters I find amusing. Always had tbh.
Oh here we go again you kids and being flaggots.

Endlessly? Who has been crying about deserters endlessly? We’ve been talking about blue orbs and marsh mellows.

The way the event is set up right now straight-up incentivizes deserting in form of going AFK. As far as I know, there is no system in place which kicks you out if you stand and do nothing throughout the duration of the game (at least not while you’re downed).

I had a guy in a party that just went afk in the middle of the mission, he was knocked down and we just left him there because he wasn’t moving even after reviving him multiple times. We extracted and he probably got rewarded with all of the tokens we collected along the way.

So if anyone wants to farm tokens without moving a finger, just join a match and leave your chair while others do the work for you

Ok!

Thanks man, now i have found a way to “play” this awful event!

Cry me a river, kid.

Now everbody is not playing the game, just walking around searching for tokens. I was playing alone.

So, if I see kids not playing the game, I just leave and let them have fun.

Correction, I tested this (for research purposes), the game does kick you out eventually for inactivity (not sure how long though)

pretty sure it just like normal match but yea anyway do you still get the token tho?

cause i just finish one where 1 guy afk and only 3 of us survive

If the game kick you out or you leave, you don’t get anything, but if a person who’s afk manages to stay in the game while you guys extract, I believe they get all the tokens from doing the tasks + the tokens collected by the rest of the group (I’m not sure about the last one)

WAY too long
