Was going through a footage from Monday and realised I actually got to fly the planes a fair bit for once (mostly because the matches were so unbalanced on the ground it did not matter once bit lul - in one of the matches we literally timed out…)
Mostly just random chaos, but it was kinda fun ^^
23mm cannons killing tiger 2 H…nice 
I dunno why most people seem to dive down right from air spawn…meanwhile I usually go straight up and try to dive as steeply as possible - just so the cannons have a chance to work their magic 
I spawn and go left or right…I always come in perpendicular to the line between the enemy spawn and the objective…Because 9/10 they fly that straight line (also side shots are easy on vehicles, especially wing mounted guns)…as you say…always diving
I’ll do that only if I actually get slapped proper first
But after all remember USA suffers

And this just the less weird cannon a single shoot from the Yak-9k is a 100% death and now is Even more buffed cuz this plane got better Shells than before
I think they actually dialled it back
First time I tried it right after the sale it would 1 shot anything no matter what
Now you actually have to aim, especially for the bigger stuff
Still probably just bit too dank lol
I abused the Yak 9k for the first month while everyone was distracted and upset about the Duck…
It was monsterous (so fun)…I havent flown it for a bit so I havent noticed a change
Maybe I was super lucky at the start…but now for a PIV kill you really need to hit the turret dead on - you still can 1 shot them, but if you mess up a bit you only kill guys in the turret basket or maybe people in the hull. Puma also kinda seems to survive unless you hit it dead on either in ammo or where all the human centipede is and before just grazing it seemed to vapourise it
Also the wierd cannon kills arent unique to one side…
Ive blown up T-34s and IS 2s with 30mm HE rounds (WTF?)
Tiger 2s with 23mm rounds and HVARS (HVARS reliably)
I dont know if its Overpressure or getting through the turret ring somehow…
but yeah…Damage model can be funny
For me I only kill them with perfect, direct hits from HVARS which is annoyingly hard to do reliably 
I think it’s the engine deck? It only seems to have structural steel in some parts, at least thats what I always try to aim with 30mms…dunno what difference in the belt or whatever is between D-12 and the K-4 but i usually have way more success with the D-12
it could be, but with the HVARS I come in from low and side on (so I doubt im hitting that part)…My theory has been to get a hvar to hit where the ammo rack is on the side of the turret (up the back)…I think its over pressure/explosive radius passing through armor…just a theory but I am pretty confident the Tiger 2 will die when I have HVARs

meanwhile I’m doing it quite literally diametrically opposite…
trying to land those things from high up with the random spread they get nowadays is such a pain and a total crapshoot
give it a go, see if you have any more luck. I find tree top HVARS my prefered method.
i might…sometimes you get downgraded to the damn corsair and there are still tanks to be killed
I actually do it more in the corsair lol…too many p47s already, i fly corsair or tempest

for BR5 I have a P47, Corsair and P51 equipped
When the enemy actually knows how to fly and there are 2 people pulling air out all the time it can get rough. Had to put on a bren carrier and the Oui Oui Tomfoolery Division and didn’t have a slot for a Spitfire too
I’m not the biggest fan of the damn US airplanes, suck seal clubbing bricks lol
I always take the spit as the last line of defence. Its times like that, it outshines all
Hellcat is good too (vision not so much)
