since the new season has started, I’ve gone from normally being in the top 20% on the winning team to getting absolutely destroyed on maps I KNOW I’m good good at because of the clear use of aimbots and being shot through multiple walls. IDK if it has something to do with people getting access to the source code for the sake of creating mods, or the game being compromised because of mods, but it’s no longer fun. I know people are hacking. there’s know way when I turn a corner, I’m sniped through a tank by someone laying down on the far side of a building. Fix it.

What you’re experiencing is a visual bug. Either Player A did the most damage and Player B killed you, resulting in showing the killcam on Player A, who got the kill, or was simply just a visual bug. If there are hackers, it’s usually uncommon / will be EXTREMELY obvious.

That behavior is not uncommon for the AI bots, which will shoot at things pretty much at random almost regardless of distance. Poor net code also makes it seem like you are getting shot through walls when in reality it is just the game shitting itself.
A good tipp if you are a veteran is to try to identifie the weapon your “killer” is holding and if it is the same as stated in the killfeed.
The way you describe it - it’s not hacking, but may be considered as a bug at some point. The way it works - when enemy stands behind a wall, the hands appear to be exposed sometimes. Snipe-shooting a hand palm instantly kills for some reason. I found it couple weeks back and will report that bug.
Second thing that was in the past, and I’m not aware if it’s fixed currently, is that game always shows you the first enemy in squad, not the one that killed you.
So far I’ve never seen anyone with wallhack or aimbot, there was a discussion in Russian forum about folks that make over 300 kills in game, and they simply appear to be good.
…and yes, in the past bots were able to even shoot off a pilot in the sky, but that was fixed long time back, so I don’t think this is the case any more. at least I don’t see this issue.

But it’s not like there won’t be any cheaters.
I have 20+ years of FPS gaming, so I hope I’m able to recognize a cheater… and haven’t seen any so far. maybe I’m just lucky, who knows.

So far i have only met 2 players in same match that i was highly suspicious of cheating and in another match I know that a guy was cheating.
The one that was definately cheating was a guy using a m1 carbine in the normandy map with the destroyed church. He was camping in the top and shooting into the axis spawn through trees n stuff.
At 1st i was like, oh man, hes cracked! But then he wiped my entire squad with 1 mag withing 5 seconds while i couldnt even see the church.

If it looks like a hack, it worth nothing to report a player in game. few reports will raise admins interest to that person. also, speak up in chat and see what other players think.
most of the instances where people think that there are cheats involved is just bad kill cam. it shows player who first downed you (or did most damage, idk exact mechanics) and not player who actually finished you. so you can see someone who “killed you” when he was 300 meters away behind 10 walls, but actual killer was few meters away
also kill cam gas gotten specially retarded after last update.
Yes there is as I have both been shot like that and made shots like that. I often lie in wait with a sniper rifle ready for people like you to come running round the same corner they always run around on the same map. We often stick our heads up from cover (such as a tank) only when shooting or aiming not reloading especially with bolt actions which are best for long range work.
It truly amuses me to read all the folks that swear there are no hackers out there…There are no less than 6 sites right now offering cheats/hacks…Also I don’t know what you are speaking about when you say Kill cam. When I get shot I hardly ever see who killed me…There are guys out there that no matter how much you change your zig zag pattern jump and change up I get head shot killed…SMH…
i am not saying that there are no cheats for this game… like i said i saw one guy blatantly cheating on a video, but i havent seen almost any (at least blatant) cheaters ingame.
most people who come to forums to complain about cheaters are those who dont know how kill cam works. they see they were behind one or several obstacles from the player who killed them, but that player is only player who first downed them (or gave most amount of damage) and not the player who actually put the last bullet. and that player could be 2 meters behind you and not 100meters away behind 10 walls like you think cause of kill cam.
also zig zagging and jumping doesnt work cause you have semi automatic guns that are relatively precise if they are fully upgraded (fast rate of fire with almost no recoil). also lot of players ingame are actually bots and experience with them can be from utterly useless to headshot in seconds.
I never that said there were no cheats, I never even mentioned cheats, finish school & learn to read.
What I am saying is saying is don’t judge the rest of the world by your level of skill as there are many better gamers out there than either of us. Face it, your are just an average gamer, nothing special, your just get beaten like the rest of us by better players.
LOL…I have long since graduated school…I was venting my frustration that there are so many sites selling cheats for this game and people just deny…I am not ebven an average player in this game as zI have just started playing …But I truly do not see the enjoyment in getting killed behind walls, aimbotted by running players that do not even aim…Thanks for the response though
