Ha-go HE shell

I feel the Ha-Go should get an HE shell. I’m already aware that its only a 37mm but I feel like it would help a lot when fighting infantry.

Don’t expect much. HE shell from small caliber cannon works terribly against infantry. It has little to no splash so you will need direct hit in order to kill the enemy.

not really. with 37mm HE you need to hit infantry directly to deal damage/kill it. idk if i ever even saw 37mm HE killing 2 people with same shot.

that is my experience, but i didnt really play much 37mm tanks in this game. usually they are just there till i upgrade to something better.

HE from 37mm has just been buffed, HE for HA GO is a must.

Yeah, imagine doing like 3 golden orders for a tank that’s completely trash even on its own BR. Kinda counterproductive.

Like they should add HEs and make him more reliable just for this reason alone.
It’s not like this tank going to be OP with HEs anyway, lol.

I mean is 37mm HE really THAT bad? Even if there are like 200 grams of TNT, that is still roughly 30 times more than in F-1 frag grenade, you wont have a fun time if this thing blows up near you, it wont kill, sure, but it can cause bleeding and other soft tissue damage, in modern war 50 gram TNT grenade can injure people from several meters from explosion with frags. My point is 37mm HE is not as destructive, sure, but it can do damage nonetheless, provived it has enough fragmentation elements.

Yeah, I did enjoy shooting bots with my A13 few weeks back. I think it has similar caliber.

And HEs are definitely noticeable. They should make a Ha-Go justice.

It is, yes, I guess the main reason why Ha-Go has no HE shells is because premium Ka-Chi exists, where you trade an mg for 45mm HE, still, Ke-Ni suffers the same fate though, and it is like 25 lvl vehicle or something and nominally it has a different gun, at least with different name, guess devs just overlooked that aspect mostly, but maybe it was intentional cos of Ka-Chi as I said.

It still won’t really help. The MGs on it need to be reworked, in order to make it more capable against infantry.

Lol what conspiracy theory is this? The reason is simple, there is no HE shell for Ha-Go in War Thunder. Dev didn’t bother to make a new HE shell for Ha-Go in Enlisted, so there is no HE shell for Ha-Go in Enlisted.

I dont remember playing Ha-Go or any other Japanese tier 1 tanks so, yes, it is much simpler explanation.

The reason is, all rank 1 vehicles, aside from those with big guns, receive no HE shell, since many players didn’t know that it would be a waste, at least so I have heard.

However, enlisted is a cousin (if not a sibling) of warthunder, with emphasis on infantry.
Therefore, if there historically were HE shells for 37 mm (I assume there were), then there is a good reason for these shells to exist here.

Also - contradiction - Panzer 3 B and E have no HE shells in WT.
But they do have them in enlisted.

This logic makes no sense since we already have 2 37mm cannons with HE. All HE damage is standardized anyways so they can easily just use that.

There is a reason why I only mentioned Ha-go. Panzer 3E had HE shell in WT very long time ago(but it was removed), so they can use it.
But there is no HE shell for Ha-go when it was added in War Thunder.

Lol, who said that? Any source? Same caliber doesn’t mean they have same explosive filler lol.

Remind me, when Japanese tree was added to warthunder, and when HE rounds for most rank 1 vehicles were removed?

How is this related to our conversation? All you have to know is Ha-Go didn’t get HE shell when it was added.

If Japanese tanks were added before rank 1 HE was removed, it would seem weird, and I suppose they were already planning to remove HE…
However, if Japs were added after HE removal, then You are correct, from a certain point of view.

I don’t think it matters. Ha-Go didn’t get HE shell in WT is enough to explain why Ha-Go didn’t have HE shell in Enlisted.

Your previous theory assume there was no HE shell for all rank 1 vehicles at the start. They had HE shell before but it get removed.

Well, I suppose it can be a simple reason.
However, it would be rather lazy to simply not add it because it is not present in WT.
I’m positive Ha-Go had HE shells in RL, so let’s see…

No luck regarding shell types here…

The gun could also fire High-Explosive (HE) rounds, although the effect of 37 mm HE was rather light.

So it had HE shells in RL.
And I think it would be fair to introduce them too, after all, Panzer 3 B and E have them.
