How come I can differs enemy from allies?
You can mix whatever years and campaigns you want, just dont mix all the factions together.
Also this game do not include Cold war. Soviet wont be both allies of USA and enemy of USA.
Just separate nations apart OK?

If you don’t like it, just don’t join it lol, no one force you to play it.
You can just create your own custom match with your preferred setting instead of stopping people from playing mixed faction custom match.

In historical fact, the US and German forces joined forces to fight against the SS in the Battle for Castle Itter.
Fact is stranger than fiction. If you find a British or Japanese soldier standing in short shorts in snowy Moscow, you don’t have to worry.

What about, actually at that time, I only have that room that actually had lonefighter mode? And creating new one will never have enough players.

Well, if that room is full of people means people like it. You can’t force people to play the same thing as you.
Even in lone fighter hardcore mode, your Allies will be shown when you point your gun at them.

Anything goes and is up to the taste of the room’s creator. You can create customs yourself with locked factions instead?

i like mixed battles, it balanced.

that’s precisely the point.
not many people join customs.
hence, few people in order to play customs at all, sets factions to be mixed and open, so that everyone can join and start a match.
beside, as i played customs as axis tunisia ( probably the worst germany in the game. contender with moscow. although, i personally prefer moscow over tunisia )
despite not having panzer IIIs, or any other major anti tank threats, it worked against infantry with relatively no issue.
germans, brits, japanese, guns do wonders if you know how to use them.
but yeah, generally mixed custom matches are there because no one joins the others.
what you are looking for, it’s kinda too specific.
and you’ll never round up enough people from the same factions settings.
especially in lone fighters where it requires actual people.
But not American and Soviet?

beside, it’s… kinda obvious that you are gonna fight americans and soviets most of the time.
much less facing japanese forces or other axis forces. and customs are somewhat great for that.
which i must admit, it’s actually fun playing as a german against japanese.
