Guide for perfect soldiers in F2P (perk re-roll)

With limited supply of silver troop orders in F2P you should know what soldiers benefit from maxed out perks so you won’t make the same mistake I did.

Firstly DO NOT order tier I soldiers because most of them have pretty useless default perks with the exception of gunner and tanker. Secondly engineers and radio operators can be used either as support for artillery fire, ammo depots and rally points or as a main unit. There’s no point re-rolling them for support roles. And lastly about prefered perks: for Speed you can either go with +10% run speed and +75% medpack usage speed or +15% sprint speed (I prefer the former), for Vitality +35% vitality is a clear winner, you can also go with +200% health restored by medpacks and +100% stamina but I’d rather survive one extra hit than pray I have the time to heal up, for Weapon Handling it entirely depends on weapon you’re using, for most guns -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing is more useful. For the 4-5th perk that require 0-4 points I prefer -25% shot spread after quick turning or/and +100% stamina regeneration speed so I’ll use that as example but for each their own.

Rifleman II (+2,+2,+2)
+10% run speed and +75% medpack usage speed -14 SPD
+35% vitality -16 VIT
-40% firearm vertical recoil while standing -14 WH
+100% stamina regen or -25% shot spread
no need to re-roll

Assaulter II (+3,+1,+2)
same as the rifleman but needs +1 VIT on roll

Sniper II (+2,-2,+4)
+10% run speed and +75% medpack usage speed -14 SPD
+200% health restored by medpacks -8 VIT
+12% firing rate while using bolt action rifles and +12% firearm reload speed -20 WH
needs perfect roll for WH

Engineer II (+2,+4,+0)
for support:
+50% building speed -14 SPD
+40% resources available for building and +200% health restored by medpacks (or +100% stamina) -16/17 VIT
Greater chance to get in downed state on taking fatal damage -10 WH
+50% throwing range of grenades, +100% stamina regen or -25% shot spread depending on WH roll
as main:
same as the rifleman but needs perfect WH roll for -25% shot spread, otherwise take +100% stamina regen

Radio operator II (+6,+2,-2)
same as the rifleman or +15% sprint speed and +10% run speed -22 SPD
needs perfect roll for WH (and SPD for Forrest Gump mode)

Machine Gunner I (+0,+0,+3)
+10% run speed and +75% medpack usage speed -14 SPD
+35% vitality -16 VIT
-30% firearm horizontal recoil while standing -16 WH
+100% stamina regen or -25% shot spread
needs perfect roll for VIT (and for SPD if you go with +15% sprint speed)

AT Gunner II (-2,+4,+4)
+10% run speed and +75% medpack usage speed -14 SPD
+35% vitality -16 VIT
-40% firearm vertical recoil while standing and +50% throwing range of grenades -20 WH
needs perfect roll for SPD and WH
Note: they are quite niche so it’s better to avoid wasting orders on them

Tanker I (+3,-2,+2)
put one with +90% speed of gear shift and +50% speed of using brake in the driver seat, one with “Change the type of ammo type without losing reload progress” in the loader seat and one with “Improved targeting skills of a tank gun” in the gunner seat
no need re-roll or level up for other perks

Mortarman (-1,+2,+2)
bwhahaha go back to your cozy little trench hole
no need to see other people
might want to look for a therapist

With how much they ruined my mortar boys that´s not such a bad idea actually

well, i’m not sure about the others,

but tier 1 soldiers are a MUST.

because of two reasons, they are cheap.
and they can help you to get those said type II / III / ecc troopers as a filling gap.

otherwise you just cripple your self with soldiers of 1 to 3 stars just because they are type II and other different types. which yes, can hold different ( and in some occasions, better ) perks but the bot efficiency is tremendously decreased. that’s where 5 star type 1 soldiers came in handy.

which eventually, you will be able to replace them.

as 5 bots star make more kills and are more responsive, = kills.

kills = xps.

and you get that.

unless you only play Lone figther, then, i guess stars are not that big of an issue since you are the player that you control.

so, sorry bud, but i wouldn’t call it the " pefect soldiers guide for f2p ".

it’s kinda quite the opposite.

i mean, don’t get me wrong, the stats are there, and it is true that types soldiers are better than the default. but they are really expensive.

so, the first " advice " i wouldn’t really reccomend it.

but for the rest, good job

This guide is very F2P unfriendly.

  1. Not much F2P player will spend time to grind extremely grindy tier 2 squad.
  2. It cost a lot more to upgrade tier 2 soldier.

Well, obviously it’s not a guide on what troops it’s better to choose or how to level up faster. The thing is you get abundance of tier I riflemen to fill up from unused squads so there’s no need to spend already scarce silver orders on them. Even on other types as it will be helluva grind for tier II. For fully F2P it’s better save them up for the future. My intent is to have one perfect soldier for each squad to start the match with.

I would go for

  • Sprint speed
  • Vitality
  • vertical recoil reduction
  • shot spread
  • stamina regen

It benefits from the +35% stamina they have by default.

Been thinking about this one. While what you state is true. Once your loader dies you lose the perk. At least I noticed this couple days ago. (more testing needed) So once you lose tankers this gonna be a issue.

Engineer perks can switch around a bit I think. resources available seems to be only really usefull for mortar team or lone engineers in a squad. For engineer squad you have 4-6 of them and you can just switch. I like my engineer with sprintspeed and sword combo just running to get that flank rally up.

I agree, at the start it is more important to just get that squad filled with (maxed) cheap tier I soldiers. Going for the specific perk build is good for later.

well.

for a free to play player, i’m fairly sure those matters.

that is partially correct. if you buy at least 5 of the tier one, you can replace the other veterans of level 5 type 1, otherwise you cannot transfer them to other squads. which you are just saving to mine your gameplay experience.

i’m afaid that is very debatable.

which,

i don’t have much to say, i respect your opinion as you have all rights to have yours.

i’m a bit sorry for " clashing " against it, but i don’t think, if you allow me to say, that you are being safely responsible.

we are talking about being efficient, right? that’s all what matters at the end of the day.

but the time that it requires you to " sit " behind and keep going with the AIs that can barely keep up the fighting and pace with you, are quite sluggish because you don’t have them upgraded, it takes actually quite more,

than upgrading them, and using them.
because you make more experience. and with experience you get more silver and bronze orders much faster.

which, eventually you can replace without losing the efficiency one at a time.

because otherwise you are… somewhat weak once the only powerful dude that you have, get sniped, bombed, killed or whatever. you just putted a lot of effort in one dude that once he get killed ,you are somewhat at disadvantage.

that’s what i was meaning.

I understand your point and you’re right about efficiency but I created this guide for people who will not ask should they be doing it. This is a terrible idea and a huge waste of time. But if you did wanted to create a perfect squad if you were to do it with tier 1 troops you’d waste all your free silver orders and by the time you’ll unlock tier 2 grinding for them would be hell. And your suggestion to max out every soldier in a squad while it sounds better to actually utilize every one of them in practice the extra kills they get with new perks are negligible and even if you command them to wait somewhere in the safe place to switch when needed, half of the time those morons will find a way to get themselves killed, at least in my experience.
