The latest Premium German Guerilla squad armed with Stgs is yet another example of a special squad using a different weapon class than its standard form. Previously the French Partisan Guerilla squad uses a semi-automatic rifle as well as being to arm itself with many weapons including M2 Carbines
I think this issue should finally be straightened out. Make Guerillas able to use the semi-auto rifle class and assault rifle class.
Also, I think this is a good opportunity to also suggest letting Tankers and Pilots also be able to use assault rifles. Assault Rifles were developed as an evolution of submachine guns, having improved range and performance over pistol-cartridge firearms. The Assault rifle did not become the new standard issue infantry weapon of modern times until about the 1960s.
Germany even experimented with giving vehicle crews mounted Stgs that could be used to defend from infantry
So since the assault rifle was an evolution of the smg, I think its fine to give them to Tankers and Pilots as well
The same can be said for the APC Driver class since they too are a vehicle unit
The Motorcycle Rider class is the best example they can use all rifle type weapons and assault weapons including smgs, assault rifles, and submachine guns
