I think Guerillas should have access to the Rifle weapon class in addition to the Assault class. When Guerillas were announced I thought it would be perfect to give them the De Lisle Carbines, an old Gold order, that was explicitly made and used for British commandos. It gives us another play style for this class

The Motorcycle Rider class also has access to both rifles and assault weapons

so? guerillas and riders are not the same class, why make the comparison?

giving them rifles would be awful because you’d give them the power to just snipe from bushes in the enemy grey zone

I was making a point that there is another class that also has that function. Also in a way Motorcycles were used similarly to guerillas in that these units would exploit breaks in the enemy lines to race and harass.

Personally I don’t think Guerillas will be as awful as some make them out to be. They will be pretty situational. Most players will probably use them the same as everything else zerging the objective. Even then I find their capability to “attack” the grayzone will be no different than the already chaotic gameplay. Will they be worse when we already get shelled by enemy tanks, bombed and rocketed by planes, sniped, and pretty much everything else in a normal day of warfare

I imagine myself giving the Japanese Guerillas rifles. I like a little immersion. I’d never give 99% of my Japanese semi-auto rifles in the same way I wouldn’t give my Germans 99% FG 42s

Guerrillas can probably use starter rifles like MG gunners or assaulters.

The only reason I disagree with this specific limitation is because I have in my mind my ideas of how I would loadout my Guerillas, and the starter rifles don’t cut it :sweat_smile:. It’s like I want my US Medics to use M1 carbines but they can only use Springfields. That’s why I say to keep it open, rifles and assault, everyone can choose whatever they want

Why don’t you suggest that, VG1-5 can be used by basically anyone after the players asked for it.

I would support this change.
