Is it an overrated issue? I have never been griefed before, so I wondered if anyone else found this a serious issue.

I can only remember 2 times when I actually met a griefer.
A friendly pilot deliberately rammed me out of the sky because I killed too much and a friendly soldier deliberately blocked my HMG.
Could be more when new players arrive.
Good thing is that they dont have flamethrowers yet.
Tbh, I personally do not care about griefers at all. Why? Because currently I can leave any match with basically any penalty at all.
So when I do encounter loser who is intentionally sabotaging his own team, I’ll just leave. No big drama.
And I definitely haven’t encountered significant number of such inviduals.

From my experience yea not many griefer only plane hogger that don’t know when to stop using plane even tho they only got 3 kill in 5 pass

I have encountered only one. He placed barbed wire around default spawns and then kill himself all the time.

I have encountered maybe 2-3 dedicated griefers in my time.
However, i get the sense that there are some people that are going to go around purposely griefing teams once it releases on steam.
That way they can tank public opinion since they feel “wronged” by the game in some way, and see this as revenge. Been seeing a lot of hints to this in the forum and discord.

As a friendly griefer that likes to prank friends i play with:
-the options to grief are severly reduced compared to start of open beta, only real issues are like flamethrowers (only from tier III, so meh) molotovs and phosphors, which are nerfed so hard it’s barely inconvenience. They are more likely to be used against friendlies alongside barbed wire to abuse medic mechanics and farm score through healing teammates - i have yet to see such dedicated autims in action though
-you can still run people over, which is funny as hell so should stay in game.
-on few maps there are rally spots that allow You to trap anyone that spawns there, but i won’t share them here (for free)
So honestly bigger griefer is bot that runs in front of you when firing granade launcher and kills you.
Or 99% of console players that don’t turn off crossplay - at least they show you which side will win.

The monastery housing units attic fucked the AI resulting in them to get stuck. Also cannot forget the lovely people who built rallies in the attics of moscow houses
I wasn’t talking AI stuck, i was talkin out of bounds of maps stuck, running under the map stuck.
But yeah that too, but it’s game fault, new players mostly don’t do that on pupose, they just don’t know bots get stuck there
I remeber some rallies inside the kahif mountains. Everyone would be stuck inside the rocks
