Grenades should have a distance indicator

Since different soldiers have different grenade throwing ranges, and because it is impossible to throw nades through windows, grenade arc indicators should be considered for this game and in my honest opinion would improve the game’s quality significantly. I have played hundreds of hours and I feel as though sometimes when throwing a nade there’s almost like a dispersion cuz it nevveerrrr goes through that window the way you want it to.

The game had visible grenade arcs back in alpha and maybe in beta (don’t remember was kinda a long time ago) but the devs removed it because it was making the game a bit too arcady, or something among these lines. So i doubt it would ever be back.

I feel like the thumb was really good for a while, but then I feel like it got shifted in an update or something cuz it didnt feel the same.

Equally I would like to see soldiers with the grenade throw range increase have a different hand symbol to indicate that they are going to throw farther than the normal soldier.

Otherwise I think the thumb indicator is fine enough so long as they make sure it is consistent.

maybe add a small indicatior for the first 3 meters
just for when you try to fit it through a window/ some wierd angle

Would make the game too arcady tbh. All we need is a way to see if a soldier has a +50% throw distance perk in game

I personally disagree with the indicator, because

  1. you can already aim with ypur thumb,
  2. it disturb the immersion

Different grenade types have different weights, and thus get thrown different distances. Its not a huge difference with the Axis, because german AP grenades suck, but for the other factions the ap versions go much, much further, so if you expect the behavior of one on the other, you’ll get in trouble.

I don’t think a throwing range indicator would be good, but I would like to see a symbol somewhere visible indicating that you have grenade throwing range, because keeping track of it yourself is well, a huge pain.

Agree, just show us on interface if soldier has throwing range perk and that’s it. It’s fun to use grenades once mastered and no problems hitting windows. Just matter of practice and makes gameplay more realistic.

it should be instead of a thumb, maybe a finger point to show they are going long lol

in alpha, trajectory of throwable items were shown, it was a massacre, good thing it was removed
