Grenade, Rifle No. 68 / Anti-Tank

Anti-tank rifle grenades were first employed during WW1 alongside anti-tank rifles and cannons like the French 75, Latter weapons like the 68 would employ a shaped charge to overcome increasing thickness of tank armor.

Grenade, Rifle No. 68 / Anti-Tank** fired from a modified Enfield rifle the 68 was to be used by the home guard in the event of a German invasion of the home islands.

Hitting enemy armor at 90 degrees the 68 could penetrate up to two inches of armor, first employed in 1940 the grenade was only withdrawn in 1944 near the end of the war as the home guard was stood down.

It would be a cool idea, but would likely see little to no use as explosive packs are far more efficient (currently) and can be equipped on any soldier type.

The Grenade launchers only go on riflemen, and generally people will opt for anti-personal GL in that case, with explosive packs in their pockets.

If you want something like this, and it to actually be used, they would need to change explosive packs.

2 inches of armor, so less than 50mm? Not great son

Can pen the side of a medium tank so quite decent. I’d be more concerned about post pen damage.

yeah but the packs have thrown grenade range while rifle grenade range is much greater,

On a related note: can the existing anti-tank grenade launchers actually damage tanks? The handful of times I’ve tried they didn’t seem to have the slightest effect. I’ve had more luck with the sturmpistole

Yes but only if you aim at weak spot and hope RNG god doesn’t neuter your post pen
