Older players will finally max out all their weapons, easy and quickly. Newer players will need to grind a little more, but only for backups and grenade pouches, really. Yes, new players will complain about that, but whatever - things a lot easier in other places now.
Expect German side to be even more leet - because everyone will max out German super weapons, and just wipe the board. Specially so in Normandy, probably. US has very little counter to leet German weapons there.
Overall - excellent change, I support this fully. Makes the game easier.
spot on. everything maxed out in berlin. doesnt make me a good player because of that since… no skill but, for old players, this was a golden change.
Well i can’t really talk about new unless i switch sides in a campaign but my friend is in the camp of new having only really played one campaign on one side and playing today hasn’t changed much, at least i don’t need to decide if i want gun upgrades or explosive packs
SMG in tunisia Axis are finally usefull. It change my life. (about 20 bronze for a SMG max out)
I can max also the Armaguerra (for very cheap) that before didn’t go to the 10.0 dmg at 100m. I never do a “white hit” anymore. Amazing.
Because some OK weapon are low tier, the upgrade are actually very effective. I love it. It rehabilitate the low tier weapon. Very nice.
Of course in Normandy between MG43, FG42, STG it’s expansive but… come on. I never had a max out STG43 before!
For the PSSh… before it was “just” a laser, now it’s argon space engine.

just got done with 4 hours F2P and I’m not really having any issues with Silver Orders. Early grind kinda sucks using starter rifles but meh, it’s really not that bad. Bigger issue is stuff we’ve all talked about before: grind sucks, new players get shit on by old players, etc etc. But the Silver Orders thing is getting blown waaaaay out of proportion IMO.
It’s so funny that in English part of forum there is a topic “Great Update”, and in Russian forum same update is being discussed as “Enlisted is dead” (https://forum.enlisted.net/t/enlisted/35471)
if you were to switch campaign right now with your F2P, would you be able to get enough orders without the acheivements?
i am just a bit concerned about options and such, because the way i see it, new players may be very limited in that regard.
if they switch campaign early, they wont have the boost of the acheivements.
if they try out specialised squads (like mortars or bombers) they may spend quite a few orders they wont get back.
and the way i see it from the math people have done (from rough memory), it seems like you have more than enough to kit out an entire endgame campaign, but to do so you have to skip out on alot of mid and early game equipment to save orders
No, but I still see that as an issue with gain rate. Like you said, you get enough silvers to kit out an entire end game campaign. It’s just the fact that it takes forever to actually grind them out that’s the problem.
