Honestly this would ruin the gun for me, and it would not be BR 2 anymore.
I like diversity and this would make the FNAB very similar to already existing guns in the axis tech tree.

Fnab is fun as hell with current fire rate. Lovely tier 2 smg.

I’m not sure, with a rof buff it would automatically become BR 3
Germany’s BR 3 already has a choice between a fast firing SMG (ZK-383) and a slower firing smg with more damage (MP-35), which is the golden standard in terms of weapon variety
If it gets RoF similar to the beretta M1 then it just becomes a copy with a different skin, which is boring.
I think lower RoF for it is better, as it makes it unique: Low RoF but with a higher capacity magazine
