Yesterday once again I had one of those nice battles that make this game so cool.
I had a long personal aerial battle with one guy.
Below is the video of the battle in case anybody has too much freetime like myself, if not then here is the cartoon version.
I was playing Germany BR5 against Russia over the Railway Bridge in Berlin.
I dont have much German stuff researched so my only planes were Fiat G55 and Bf110.
The ground battle started and I died quickly so I took the Bf110 to engage the attacking enemy ground forces.
I encountered an enemy plane and took him out.
The same guy immediately came after me with another plane.
I hit him with my tailgunner but he killed me.
So I spawned on the ground and built AA.
First I shot down his teammate as a bonus, then himself also.
My ground squad died so I take my G55 to the sky.
I meet the same guy again and shoot him.
He reappeared quickly and tried to shoot me with his tailgunner, but I dove down to avoid it and killed him.
He came back again in another plane and a we had a several minutes long dogfight.
My longest ever I think.
I was always chasing him but he was always avoiding me.
I dont know if he was so good, or I was so bad, or our planes were a good match.
I just could not get him but I did get a few hits on him.
I had to go and rearm ammo during the fight.
And I took time to drop my bombs on the enemy ground forces (missed).
He also tried to bomb me, but I know this trick and avoided his bombs.
During this fight he even took out my team’s JU-188, while I was still chasing after him.
Eventually I nailed him, notice that it were my last rounds that got him, otherwise I would have gone to rearm a second time during the same fight.
But our battle was not yet over.
He came back in another plane and shot my plane down.
I was able to land without dying.
I suicided my pilot, he got the kill, I got safe landing points.
I take out my Bf110 again and give him some payback.
He didnt like that so he came back and got me again too.
I now couldn’t spawn another plane.
But I never quit or surrender so I built AA and shoot him dead with that. Again.
The end.
This was a fun battle for me, thanks to my cool enemy.
