Gray zone is not the answer to spawn camping

APC was the first step but a floating spawn system would be a better solution. in a limited area of course, we don’t want people to just be able to spawn anyplace such as on top or just outside the objective.

I see i spawn, using binoculars to allowing spawning anyplace in the old gray zone. I holds i spawn similar to spawning on a teammate so long as they are not being suppressed by enemy fire.

Just some ideas over a fixed spawn location that cannot be changed and is not just the same all game but every game. Also randomly changing after a certain number of spawns or gameplay time.

Any other ideas for a more dynamic spawning system to prevent spawn camping. such as shelling or bombing or mining spawn points we all know and hate.

Floating spawn points may affect the travel routes of vehicles and soldiers
It may be further away or there may be no smooth road
This is very disadvantageous for reborn people
And players who are resurrected from the basic spawn point do not seem to be ambushed by mines.
I once encountered a sea of respawning mines at the Prime Minister’s Residence.
However, those mines cannot kill any newly resurrected players.
so
I think players have enough resurrection protection seconds to allow their core infantry to escape the spawn point blockade
Therefore floating respawn point is not necessary

That’s not how a classic spawncamper operates. Without the grey zone and “the floating spawn”. A spawn camper would just go behind your spawn, wait for you to spawn, and then wait again until you lose spawn protection. And then simply shoot you in the back.

I still have huge PTSD from spawncamping in WT.

Btw. I personally still prefer greyzone over “floating spawns”.
I think the better solution is just make the fighting/camping from the grey zone not effective in some way.

Spawncamping is already a massive issue, I can’t believe you folks don’t see this.

What I’m talking about is the ability of ultra-long-range attacks (vehicles, artillery fire) and preset traps to threaten fixed respawn points.
I also support the gray area
Because this way I don’t have to worry about gays trying to sneak up on me from behind.

One sided battles are.
But spawn camping by itself isn’t, at least I would say
I certainly don’t often see to someone bypassing the battle area just to go solo spawncamp.

Now it’s more about one team just being so bad that they can’t get out from behind the line that separates the grey zone.
In that case, though, the match should be automatically ended in a few seconds, as such match is incredibly annoying and boring for both sides.

Spawns are in fixed places for good reason, that prevents soldiers and vehicles from spawning inside the ground or worse.

Overall, I actually kind of like the rally point dynamic, despite hating it when one isn’t available.

It’s an interesting tactical change-up, despite it being wildly un-realistic/ahistorical. But, at least I can kind of imagine how it is at least similar to how things may have went historically. (E.g. radio in for reinforcements, but if there’s too much suppressing fire the reinforcements can’t get there, etc).

One thing that’s a little weird, though, is that an enemy can destroy the relay point…I think that’s a little harder to envision, and worse, it only takes one bullet to destroy but something like 20 seconds to build. (But, that’s a minor quibble, really.)

As for the gray zone, my two biggest complaints are - you never know where exactly it is. I get hit with it all the time as I try to flank, or am continuing to fight an enemy on a recently defended point and the game just starts sucking my life away b/c I have the audacity of wanting to fight the enemy as he’s rushing to the next point.

That’s kinda B.S. and I don’t really see the game value in that. It’s also one of the things that contribute to steam roll games. People go for a quick early cap (which is fine) but what’s worse, is the game FORCES you to retreat/creates a new gray zone for the recently, already successful, steamrolling team in the match.

That’s just stupid.

As for the other things for the gray zone - like tanks sniping, etc - there’s got to be a better way to handle that. Again, no way of seeing where the gray zone is, and on top of that, God help you if you are in a vehicle and accidentally step over the invisible line trying to attack said tank. (The timer is WAY too short.)

Stop trying to fix imbalanced matches with gameplay changes. If teams are even, no one will be spawncamping/getting spawncamped
