"Grace period" after joining round

Would it be possible to add something like “For 15 seconds after joining a round, the player can leave without losing a rating point?”

I normally argue against mechanics that encourage players to leave rounds that are in-progress, but there are several campaigns & sides in-game right now that I just don’t even touch because 80% of the time you’re the only human player on one side, versus 5-7 rating 100+ human players on the other side. That’s just not even remotely interesting to play, and seems to punish players that try to play anything other than whatever campaign/side combo is the “guaranteed human teammates” option.

Alternatively, maybe have there be a setting for “Don’t join a match until there are at least [X] number of human players also queued for the same team” before entering the queue. Come to think of it, that would be the better option IMO. Let players decide how they want to balance waiting longer in queue versus having fewer teammates.

Oh, forgot to mention: Maybe even have a battle XP multiplier not be expended if the player leaves within this grace period.

Deserters already dont lose rating points.

Back in pre alpha, if you deserted, you had to face martial court.

IIRC they lose 1 ranking point.

Is there some kind of marker on the team start up screen, showing who is an actual player as apposed an AI? To be honest when I go into battle against the apposing team, I have no idea how many actual real people I am playing with :upside_down_face:

I wish there was a down vote button now…
