About 5 to 6 hours a day of playing wheeee
next level will be 25% faster haha
Those first 3 levels before you get an engineer/rally point suuuuck
Enlisted Squad leveling is the most backwards leveling system in any game I have ever played.
Traditionally, leveling systems start off easy and progressively get Harder. This system is the exact opposite of that⌠with all the 25% bonuses to leveling and incomplete squad roster, itâs downright painful. I throw out whatever new class comes with it; however, itâs still painful for a long time and it doesnât become enjoyable to me until I can get 2 other classes in the squad and about 6 guys.
Legit, unlocking a new unit is down right depressingâŚ
âOh, great⌠I unlocked a new squadâŚâ
I just realized youâre showing the 507th. Skip that garbage unit as thereâs a Sniper III in the 13th. I see no reason at all to bother with the Sniper II; well, unless you really love grinding and Snipers.
I know well Iâm sounding repetitive since I say this pretty much in every thread concerning progression or premium, but once again, thatâs Gaijinâs business model for you.
Things are there for you to unlock, but besides taking ages to get there, once you unlock something new youâre not rewarded, but rather punished, by receiving an artificially nerfed version that will need ages of crippled grinding yet again before being fully competitive.
Gaijin games ARENâT supposed to be fun. Your fun is an unintended side effect. Theyâre purposefully designed and tuned up to be just good enough to keep you hooked, while at the same time keep making you jump and crawl through every possible artificial impediment, with the goal of squeezing you for money out of exasperation rather than satisfaction.
Exact same thing in âthe other gameâ with vehicles. Every time you unlock a new one, it lacks a crapload of engine power, essential survivability equipment, and all its best weaponry/ammunitions. Yet it goes to battle against the opponents itâs supposed to face when fully equipped.
Honestly itâs hard to see this game growing or retaining the same players for any amount of time when this is the direction they are stubbornly determined to head in and things are at this level already in a beta
The only margin for hope is that with the other game they can pull almost any kind of greed stunt because thereâs no direct competition.
This is supposedly not the case with FPS tho.
To be fair, I think it was better in War Thunder; which, still had that dip in performance when getting a new vehicle. Russian suffering? âTo love is to suffer.â
Once, I got past Parts, Fire extinguishers, and possibly ammo, it was easy. Also, lower tiers cost less experience.
Here though⌠Your hardest unlocks are the early ones. Then you get about a 10 bonus experience unlocks, a few extra soldier unlocks, and the rest is gravy.
Maybe the best strategy is to first unlock the section that gives squad experience bonus this I suppose will enable one to get more experience for the squad for other unlocks ⌠if this is how it works âŚ
Squad->Personal->Weapon.
That is the order I go. Exp% unlocks, extra soldiers to hit 6 (also give you more exp,) extra classes to make it fun, then the rest is gravy.
You still need to level them all up to at least about level 15 so you can get all the soldier training perks, you canât really âskipâ a squad like that entirely. The sniper 3 squad is also far harder to level up in terms of XP so the same problem will still apply just somewhat laterâŚ
What do you mean by level all then to level 15? I skipped the 507th and am working on the 13th now. They are finally in a good place with most of Squad unlocks done.
I am not aware of any perks being unlocked with leveling up a squad. I thought you just unlock specific class abilities and weapon upgrades. If that is so, then whatâs the point of wasting time on the sniper II with the Sniper III right around the corner?
You wonât be able to train Sniper 2âs in the academy without having levelled up the squad, which will be a pain in the arse as youâll either need to send your sniper 2âs to the rear or leave them to soak up space, and regardless theyâll be making your bronze orders less efficient if you donât level them up to use them. Also, you wonât be able to put sidearms/backpacks on them without having put points into the personnel upgrades.
Level 15 is a ballpark, its approximately where most squads finish up their first 5 squad upgrades (exp/reserve soldier increase) and all of the personnel perks (so you can level them up/get backpacks etcâŚ).
