I disagree simply because playerbase issues are the real driver of imbalance. Until those are sorted, I do not want them nerfing guns or adding new OP things. When I squad up as Allies Normandy, my team usually stomps, even though none of us are above Lvl 25 (so no Tommy guns, TD, bazooka, P47). Personally I don’t have an issue taking out Panthers or Jumbos since I have the big boy planes, AT weapons, and tnt packs. And I haven’t had a noticeable issue countering people with FGs/MP43s. Like the people who kill me, would have killed me no matter what they had (baring a pistol) because they had the drop on me.
Before the recent influx of Axis players, Allies won the majority of my games. Tunisia has the same issue, when I squad up, I can win reliably as Axis, but solo I am simply outnumbered. I’ll be the only one with engineer points while the enemy has 4-5. I just don’t feel comfortable saying any weapon is op or should be nerfed until I see teams with equal numbers of players at similar levels facing off (which has been a boon of customs, though I haven’t seen one side dominate in my limited games).
It’s not the weapons, it’s the strength of the players that makes it seem unbalanced.
“Balance” shifts all by itself without changing a thing because of players maxing the campaign levels
and moving elsewhere.
With CBs, it makes sense to max the campaigns towards the end of the war because they have the best equipment to do well on any campaigns maps. After those are maxed by most veteran players, like I said before, those campaigns will see the momentum shift.
So, since older gen console players can only play in Normandy and Tunisia, it would make sense to me to see those console players who are interested in playing CBs to be focusing on Normandy, since Tunisia probably isn’t strong at all in CBs against the armies of other campaigns.
I think that soon enough, balance will be restored.
Personally I haven’t had a ton of issue with the panther. I guess I got used to dealing with Jumbos while grinding Axis, so now I am not bothered by the Panther. I am whatever level is before the P47 and have been able to counter them with either A-20, Piat, or TnT. Haven’t killed one in my Jumbo yet, but also haven’t been killed by one either. In all my duels, I just break their gun repeatedly until they give up or run out of tools lol. If you are angled slightly, they really struggle to pen. Also apparently the P-38 can kill the panther with the rockets as one killed me the other night. Think it came from behind? They did not kamikaze either.
But I would also be fine if both the Jumbo and Panther were removed/replaced.
Not anymore, bot now have the ability to hose all exposed crew of a Scott with small arms from the front, not just the commander. I tested this yesterday, and the bot just instantly deleted the entire crew except for the driver from the front.
There isn’t a tank in the game that can’t be destroyed with a solid top-down rocket strike, and the lighter ones can be killed with less AOA. I nuked pumas with the P38 all day when I was playing allies normandy.

Good luck getting a shot on a Panther when bots are constantly hosing you. Yes, the HEAT round is the best the Americans have against the Panther (save for maybe the long 76, which is still solid AP), you won’t be able to touch the Panther when the bots are insta deleting you.
Ok so most of you know I avoid Normandy… til yesterday when I had to play it for the event.
I’m ashamed to say I enjoyed it.
So, I bough the BAR bundle for both factions.
My question is as follow: Why is the premium BAR issued to the German squad much better than the one issued to USA (they even went as far as saying it’s obsolete)?
you’re right, and that’s shit. They gave us M72 instead of M61, modelled the post-pen damage badly, and then made it fight Panther which has objectively more effective armor (from the front, anyway.)
If it's not because your capture polish 1928 BAR is fully upgrade and your BAR A1/A2 isn't, it's because it's got less horizontal recoil, which makes it easier to compensate for recoil.
