There should be two soldiers with grenade launchers per infantry team. I think socket grenade launchers should be for a separate class of soldiers.
I myself use teams with grenade launchers, but I honestly admit that they need a nerf.
I kind of agree but I don’t fancy adding another soldier class only to give them one weapon and shit ton of additional grind.

I’ve already written it once. You have a party of 9 infantrymen. Each of them has two weapon slots. Which gives 5 shots from the first grenade launcher. That’s 45 shots. Eliminates every point of resistance. And I field three such teams, which gives me 135 grenades and 27 that I always forget I have.
9 riflemen still sound pretty useless. I rarely see anyone actually doing that.
I suggest testing if you have more unit slots. It’s a shame to take so much firepower if you can’t field any engineers and radio operators.

or you just 2x the same gun, to get that number?
You need 2x the rifle so you get spare grenades from both.
2 rifles loaded with grenades + 4 spare grenades.

in all honesty it shouldnt be a gold order weapon, we should instead be allowed to take grenade launchers from kar98k and put them on any gun that was designed to take it, such as gewehr 43, mp43, kar98k, and others…
the L26 suppressor should be allowed to be put on any weapon that was designed to take it, the silenced weapon shouldnt be a separate weapon if its silencer isnt built into the gun, or otherwise non removable
At first I used to think ideally we should have attachments for weapons, but I’ve come around to it and settled that this game is primarily variant based. I kind of like it. We already have so many weapons in game, and guns with unique attachments do make for good material for gold orders, events, and even premiums
For example one day I’d like to have the Stg Vampir and it’s IR pack would take up the backpack slot
Obviously if we had a gun with say 10 rounds and they added one with 11 that would just be silly
well this is basically like having a gun with 10 rounds and you add in a gun with 11 rounds, except that extra round is a grenade attachment
There were also Grenade launcher variants of the FG-42 as well. They also had bayonets.
