Gold order for weaponry - use to get random opposite side gun

Hi all, I am interested in what are your thoughts of obtaining enemies side guns in the particular campaign.

Currently we have Golden order for weaponry that at least in Moscow campaign, you can exchange for antique guns never used on the front line. I will totally not spend my Golden order on Gewehr from 19th century.

But, what if we could spend this Golden order for random weaponry of the enemy side?

So I am talking about this:

So the order is totally random, if you get enemy Gewehr 33/40, or ordinary Mosin, that it, bad luck, wait for next golden order. I think this approach would be so random and in that case expensive for even the cash wales to try to equip whole squads of lets say Germans with PPD40.

Also, there wold be no upgrading of these weapons, again, what you get is what you get.

You could not resupply these guns from friendly ammo boxes but enemies. Another limiting factor.

I am totally not for equipping all of your army with enemy guns. Some limit of perhaps 2 per squad could also be implemented.

And please try to keep FG42 out of the equation. I hope they will remove this gun from trooper class or limit it to paratrooper squads only.

Please express your opinions if you different or even better idea or you don’t like the idea of using enemy team guns at all.

So, captured weapons!? Sure, 1 random one per season wouldn’t hurt
I wouldn’t mind having a BAR on a normal soldier in normandy

I agree and disagree

While captured guns might be cool, chances that you’ll get a good gun are small which means a lot of players will avoid this and just go for the 19’th century gun istead

Sooo, we should remove the 19. century gun? Agree

I am used to more elaborated comments from you

Then its not Normandy but something out of fiction. I am currently not playing it in state it is, played better Normandies than this one. Moscow is breath of fresh air and I am enjoining it.

Mah I don’t know, community is strange, if they put AK47 community would burst out of joy. I am more of a lets stick to the history, as long as it is balanced, guy.

!? What.

I prefer normandy. But tastes vary from user to user.

What I stated, is having an alied captured b a r on a German soldier using the gold order. One captured weapon random per battlepass

As long as it saw service, I don’t mind having it in the game. Currently m1/m2 and m2hyde are examples of weapons that didn’t saw service in D-day.
M2hyde was never issued in the first place lol

No one is asking for an AK.
I m supporting ur idea of having an enemy weapon avaiable on that campaign, at random using the gold order

Since we have only 1 per batlepass season. I see no problem with it.

I agree with random weapon, but there shoudn’t be rifles, only SMGs and MG, as that is what soldiers used mostly when it came to captured weapons.

Making it completely random feels like a bad idea… I would much rather get something unique rather than pulling out Nagant revolver in exchange for the hard-earned golden ticket. (how twisted that would be…).
Also allowing to get multiple captured weapons of the same type might eventually cause problems.

Besides, why would I want to specifically use rank 1 gewehr 33/40 or anything that I can easily find and pick up on the ground from the nearest corpse out of necessity?

It’s a collectible item which only a few players possess

You can go for the Schmeisser or Petersen which are both 20th century guns

Historically, some Soviet soldiers and partisans use captured German weapons especially MP40s and MG34s. It’s fine for some weapons like I won’t mind a Soviet machine gunner with an MG34.

Ah sry, totally misunderstood. I agree with you on this. I thought you meant troopers, sry.

As far as I know, Germans did use Soviet snipers and SVT. But this is open for discussion, who knows if and how would devs implement this. I for first would rather take Mosin for sniper than Kar98.

Maybe stock gun would have to be removed from the list but everything else is fine, even Nagant revolver. There should be some hard cap of 2 captured main weapons per squad (not counting sidearms if you are so unlucky to get Nagant fuking revoler ).

EDIT: Maybe, if you are unhappy with what you got, you could exchange it for some number of silver orders. This way, I think, you would not feel like the whole universe and RNG gods are against you. Just thinking out loud.

You can take unique weapons, you have it in the game now. Actually that is the only thing you can spend it on now.

If they send me an airsoft replica to hand on my wall, OK. If not, I will pass

But, if you enjoy collecting these collectible items, I understand, I fully support you. This is I hope good idea to think about for something in the future of the game.

Okay, maybe sniper rifles too. But no one want to get first Mosin Nagant you have unlocked in Russian campaign, or even Revolver Nagant.

I want to give a small suggestion to @2156985

What if this “enemy weapon” gold order only applies to unlockable guns and not stock ones?

Which means we can’t get M1907 and Nagant revolver but we can get M91/30 for example?

You mean the stock one that you get with reserves or M91/30?

Agreed, M91/30 is brutal, even stock it has great hit power and bullet flies faster than from the Kar98.

Than I support your idea if it doesn’t apply to stock guns

They could also not be random, but purposefully prepared to be reward worth golden order from BP. Something like PPD captured by Germans and remade for their own caliber etc. For me if would be much better for them to offer something different in gameplay + maybe some unique cosmetics. But standard bolt action rifle is definetely not worth it for me.

I am trying to give ideas that will not be P2W. If you have random factor and you want to equip whole squad with Russian captured PPD, then be ready to sell few bitcoin to get that…

I also am against any signs of P2W.
But considering that would be one weapon per BP that lasts for 2 months (and we don’t know if the weapons will change after it ends). So gathering enough captured weapons to equip them to one squad (max 3 assaulters anyway) would take months, no matter how much money one would have. So I don’t think it will be more P2W, but definetely less frustrating.
Things like golden orders should have determined and clear reward so players could now exactly what they will get after weeks of grinding the BP. We don’t need P2W, of course. But even more RNG is not welcome either imo.

All well and good in theory, until your ‘random captured weapon’ is a Madsen, Mortar or just a real trashy rifle

I would like to see some more too unique to be in campaign, but probably used in some sense weapons though!

Lets note they’ve also hinted that they may increase amount of gold orders given out by the battlepass
