With the introduction of the Jagdpanther to the tech tree, more should be done to make the original Jagdpanther premium from the Berlin campaign more unique beyond visual changes.
I propose giving it a selection of HEAT or APCR rounds (in addition to its APCBC). The same was done for the Pz4 G when it was added to the tech tree after originally being a Stalingrad exclusive, so I see no reason why it shouldn’t be done to the original Jagdpanther
Something like splitting HE in half and adding HEAT for the other half, or replacing 1/4 of the APCBC ammo with APCR would be an interesting change

As nice as a custom paintjob (given for free in addition to its original dunkelgelb paintjob) or extra vehicle decorators like a flag, I doubt Darkflow cares that much about such a tiny minority of players who own this extremely old premium. But ammo changes are something that can be done quick and easily

I mean its HEAT would be a downgrade, its HE would be better vs infantry and its APHE better vs Tanks, HEAT is just middling at both.
Its also the fact that the long 88 can kill everything in the game very easily as is, so taking away some shells to fit APCR is also a bit of a nerf.
Either way, for a tank which isnt as good as the KTH as is, I dont know if thats the way I would go about it. But the idea of making it more unique is certainly fine.

Well, regardless the jagdpanther is good at BR5 even if it isnt the best. My goal isn’t to make it as good or better than the KTH anyway. I would like the premium jagdpanther to be more distinct from the tech tree jagdpanther
I mean making it distinct by making it ever so slightly worse isnt exactly how I would go about it.
I mean if I had a choice in the matter, Id swap the TT one and the prem one around, so the prem one is a command variant, and as such could carry a radio operator who could call in artillery. Would be nice to have an excuse for other command variants to be added into the game for the same reason too.

All of these options are way worse than current load out. Give it to TT jagdpanther instead. (I had no problems with TT JP getting useless APCRs on test server)

As for HEAT I am not sure if that one would be of any use at BR 5 and not just another nerf against infantry but that very much depends on how they actually model it as it could be more potent than HE but not sure if devs would agree.
because I unironically enjoy using APCR to blow out gun breaches and unironically enjoy using HEAT so I don’t need to worry about what’s in my chamber when fighting infantry or tanks
but sure give it to the TT jagdpanther instead if that’s better for yall, doesn’t bother me one bit either way
