I know this might sound like a novelty idea to some people… But I would really enjoy being able to unequip the medic’s primary weapon as a more immersive option in custom games. I would also like to see rifles potentially made available for medics, as SMGs and shotguns seem sort of overkill for a soldier who’s job it is to heal players in game.
i would like to get semi autos to medics…
Give medic more ammo it’s not fair how Guerrilla can get two weapons with large ammo bags each.
I agree, I do realize that the default rifles are useable by them. But those are not great for higher BR of course.
I think the rifles are fine unless you’re going close quarters, which you probably shouldn’t be rushing buildings as a medic. Weapons wouldn’t really be the focus of a medic, considering you should really only be going somewhere after your team is there.
Medics should be reduced to self defense weapons maybe pistols but for killing them you should get a big penality, the AI should ignore them if they arent getting directly infront of them, please research ww2 medics.
medics were considered non combat personel.
good luck with that.
it ain’t gonna happen any time soon.
as if real life historical things have any impact in enlisted.
it just doesn’t make sense that they can’t use most weapons.
it’s not like they become suddendly op.
never heard of combat medics?
combat medics is a modern variant of the medic used in ww2 if they dont go past 1945 they wont appear.
Combat Medics theoretically apply to certain soviet medics they sometimes were equipped with more than pistols, but soviet medics is a different thing the germans and americans knew if their medics had weapons visually attached somewhere they would be shot at so this was avoided.
according to the same logic,
the ho ri japanese tank shouldn’t have been made a thing.
( what it’s based off anyway, looks very different )
or the coenders mg.
since that’s a literal gun that was made in paper. ( or most of GO weapons for that matter. )
but guess what, enlisted is a game
Almost every japanese weapon displayed is paper, which i why i dont play them.
And Parisians were not fighting in Berlin, Moscow and Pacific and especially couldn’t carry as much ammo as they do at this very moment. Enlisted is arcade game and should stay that way, Medics atm are just worse Assaulters.
Its called secret army but they are actually the french resistance this doesnt mean they are from Paris they could also be from Marseille, Lyon, Brest.Caen, Calmar basically everywhere you have no proof on that.
I prefer improving medical gameplay rather than using them as assaulter.
I promise you u.s. medics carried weapons just like the rest of their platoon and were expected to return fire. They were trained for combat the same as everyone else
Medics are useless.
I want to only use pistols for my medic
I can agree that Medics right now are useless due to a poor implementation system. There’s no call out/indicator for when you drop a med box. The only indicator you get is if you’re looking at it and you don’t know if its friendly or enemy (which really didn’t matter medical kits were built largely the same) So as the medic you run into an area drop your med box and go but say nothing to your team. Like, what? They have soldiers shouting that they are reloading even when you are not in combat, but the medic is a mute when they are dropping a tool that can prolong your team’s life.
While I don’t expect the healing bubbles of the Battlefield series, I think that if your AI have an animation that shows others they are “grabbing” medical supplies then a bandage can be put into your inventory even if you’re not looking at the med box and the only time you’d have to grab one for yourself is if your last man in your squad.
Also, I think forcing medics to only carry pistols is counterproductive to the class. Medics were trained as soldiers first and medics second. They all know how to use a rifle or SMG. The Geneva convention doesn’t exist in a war game, and everyone is fair game to get shot at even if you have a big red cross on your helmet.
