Re-add the follow me order but make it specific so your guys follow the path you moved instead of a general path. So often I can get into a position say through a window into a building that is not under fire and my squad is held back somewhere reasonably safe (so they don’t get killed stupidly).
Now when I cancel orders to have them rejoin me, they stupidly run around the building, down the road and in the front door, all the time getting killed by the enemy. And this is 3x the distance from my original route.
Can we get them to actually follow my rout (e.g. follow into and through the window) instead of doing such truly stupid things ? Give the AI some love please…
Oh… and a Fall of France. Definitely need a Fall of France campaign…
I know, right? I’m surprised to what extent developers seems to don’t give a shit about AI, I can understand that it’s hard to program them to be autonomous, but to give them commands it should be not as hard. Enlisted has a poor reputation mainly because of these bots, and yet it is the main game horse, so I do not understand …?
I’m already giving them by constantly babysitting them, getting them up, switching all their weapons to full auto individualy, marking stuff for them to shoot at all the time. The rest is up to DarkFlow …
Add a new form of active formation: Column.
In this formation, bots will run like in the game “Cannon Fodder” and try to mimic your movements, run along the same path, go through the same door, jump through the same window.
It would be cool, but the programmers will get a heart attack trying to avoid bugs when bots will chase player who jumps around map and buildings like Altaïr from Assassin’s Creed.
