Give the A.I. a better sense of how to use cover!

Have you ever played band of brothers? (not to say I want that game replicated here) I would just like to see the A.I. not sit in the open when they are an important squad member. Maybe some more diverse commands.

Example: MG placements, I want to command one of my soldiers to man the turret so I can continue building. I want to command them to mount Ledges and windows. I want to command them to build a trench when I have 3 Engineers on a squad.

(this is far-fetched) Maybe have the A.I. make their intelligence better by basing it off of your playing.

Ai should take cover behind/under windows or turn the table as the improvised cover, and when outside behind props ofc only when you command them or when they are attacked.

also ai should do what human considers tedious and uninteresting, e.g. being a reloader, MG’s assistant, etc.

Ask a squad with a radioman to stay inside and the radioman almost always runs outside. Next is squads with an assaulter, that guy is going to die next. It’s pretty consistent behaver. My squads don’t know what cover is, they will more than likely be climbing on everything they could be using as cover.

Or better yet controversial opinion - bring back lone fighters mode to match maker.

Honestly I never put more than 6 guys to my squads since menaging eg. 9 of them is pain and mostly half of them die shortly after spawning anyway.

larger squads cause confusion on battlefield, something that many are not aware of, I always use the potential of the squad size to the maximum.

Yes. I havn’t played “Brothers In Arms” in years. Thank you for the correction!

Great game but Randy Pitchfork killed it with Boderlands

the trouble is two parts, one AI would start killing player-controlled soldiers too quickly, two it is beyond the AI of enlisted who have trouble following the player much less flipping tables which i don’t even think is possible with the games existing code. oh and lastly a lot of people are here to kill bots, you want to play single play cod or battlefield or hell let loose or a hundred other games

ai are are cannon fodder they stand up when your healed so und fire they entire squad gets wiped out
also why are the bot you selected stands up in the first place is stupid your wounded thenit stands up and is killed by a player the entire ai is dumb

Fine games, just finished road to hill 30 and going through earned in blood - ai gets wacky sometimes - but it’s far from enlisted level of wacky, and they actually stick to cover nearest to them and auto shoot to visible enemy (not accurate and soo on plus there is this pin down mechanic).

Anyway back to Enlisted:

I know that in enlisted u can technically command each guy in squad to stand somewhere else but thats takes time - plus comanding should be more user friendly…I can’t count the times my dudes destroyed my spawn point just cuz I wanted them to stay near it, or I want them to destroy cannon and they man it(and dont use it anyway so why even bother them to man it).
Would be nice to see order section expanded like give us 2 seperate key binds for “move order” and “action order” the second one being building help/maning guns/destruction of buildables.
And God help me why the distance to “orders canceled - you are too far from your squad” is soo low? Why not at least 100m?

it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch that an AI should at least hit the ground when a squad member is hit. This reaction is a natural behavior - you don’t typically stand their and think, “huh, my mate just took one to the noggin. I hope I don’t get shot too.” Maybe this functionality occurs based on bot proximity to the hit squad mate. If within so many yards/meters from hit squadmate, they immediately crouch or go prone.

It reminds me of the old Steve Martin movie, “The Jerk.” He’s working at a gas station with a bunch of oil cans stacked by the gas pumps. There’s this lunatic who starts shooting at him while he’s there - “Hey! These oil cans are springing leaks!”

I wish I knew how to code their game. I would 100% help them make the squad features better.

i dont see myself losing time tellin my useless braindeads what to do

when i crouch i see mu squad crouch, when i go prone i see them go prone, just like all bot behavior they do it more slowly compared to human controlled soldiers.

The best entrance of the game is BiA: Hell’s Highways, is more polished in every sense

Earned in Blood can be fine but is pretty bad when you fight enemy with Panzerfaust and Tanks, your squad gets 1 shotted even behind cover

Players in this game, rare to use covers.
Just running around and shooting, Q-E in between.
So, bots sharing this tactic, and hate to use covers, or shooting from safe positions.
Just run until die.
