Why the tankers share the same voice lines as infantry even with some few unique lines like ordering the crew to stay in the vehicle? Sometimes I didn’t realize that I was shooting APHE on infantry instead of HE because was too focused shooting and did not notice which shell I’m firing due to the lack of voice input on what shell I was loading or when the gun is still reloading.
I don’t have tank crew voice samples from Red Orchestra 2 but War Thunder’s examples are good enough.
Having their own voices would feel like a tank crew is actually fighting not infantrymen riding in a tank. At times I have to improvise myself with my own Russian tanker lines for immersion in my T-34.
First of all, hi Tovarish Tony, we fought in Berlin back then
secondly, I think back then there were voices although very limited, I never understood why they removed them but it was there, particularly before Stalingrad came out
My guess is that either the devs forgot or the feature was too buggy. But tbh I think they’ll add it in the next update also, is it just me or can I hear a faint “laden neuch” in german tanks whenever they’re reloading?
