When as soldier gets a +35% vitality, it would make sense if they got a visual to go along with it.
It also helps people around the strong soldier, so that they know “hey, this guy can survive a bit more shots”.

German body armor was either rare or unused, so maybe they could used captured Russian armor painted grey (Russians seem to have gained a lot of captured gear, I don’t see why German troops can’t pick up armor off of fallen soldiers).

I like the idea in general. Good suggestion.
Germans didn’t need body armor to gain +35% hp. They just took their daily dose of crystal meth to enter berserk mode

That is WW1 equipment, if you find evidence of it being used in WW2 then it can be added.
