IMHO sniper is the class that could be used only for the first levels when you don’t have any engineers or radioman’s.
It feels better once you will get late stage semi-auto sniper rifle, but before this you have a lack of abilities those other classes have(like you have only a scope on your gun comparing to bunch of stuff that e.g. engineer could do)
So what I’m proposing is to give a sniper an advance marking ability(aka scout ability) so he would be able to mark enemies in AoE mode so any other range class (like mortarmen, pilots, etc.) could see priority targets.
There are might be several ways to implement this:
Mark every trooper, strategic construction, etc. in some (maybe upgradable) area with movable or static individual marks.
As less PC resource consuming solution we could have the same mark we have right now, but with icons and counters of troopers, strategic constructions, etc., attached to this mark.
Any thoughts on that?

The problem of the sniper is that it’s the same rifleman but only with the sniper scope.
In current state of the game where we have anti-camper view of our killer and dozens of equal troops single precise shot have a very small value.
Ofc in late stages, once again, you could do much more with semi-auto sniper rifles, but we still have this gap till you reach it.
Need someone else to check your fight replay files to see how efficient you were, how you helped your team immensely, and how you contributed immensely to the victory with your sniping behaviour?
i hate that they’d rather equip them with all end game weapons than expand on theirs potentially unique abilities related to their class
I know giving them weapons is easy but c’mon, mechanics is what makes game a game, without it the game will become watered down.
I am so disappointed based on how gajin really took my heart with this game and really allowed me to have fun with gaming again, now they’re just ruin it.

When I first learned about this game I was super excited. But later it turned out all things I liked were mostly for marketing (aka lies). Or at least they did sound cooler and less generic than they turned out.
true, but tbh enlisted is still best choice for me, otherwise I would be playing something else, despite weird marketing and monetization I still love this game
what gets me the most is basically gajins’ recent turbo lazy actions,
“we can’t make class interesting other than giving them powerful weapons”,
like medics, there were PLENTY suggestions, both their healing abilities improvements or ticket related abilities but nah, it’s too hard, would take too much resources so ARs is the answer.
paratroopers would be fucking hyped up even without drum full autos BELIEVE ME. Decision to give them such weapons was so unnecessary it’s just painfull to watch.
are they making not enough money from this game or what?
who is decision maker in there since forum members have much better sense in which direction this game should go.
well, the merge is make or break it for me too, the bad thing though is there no good WW2 game despite people say enlisted has various WW2 competition they really not.
BFV is lame, enlisted is soon to be lame,

the reason I fail to complete top down any campaign is because I get bored down halfway through with how easy it become to kill those bots, the challenge gets really bottom low,
on test server I got to try stg44 for the first time since I haven’t unlocked it myself and the recoil and the easiness of use really bummed me lol.
The biggest mistake they made with paratroopers was that, contrary to the form of marketing they’ve been doing so far, for paratroopers there is no free version. It could be simply free para squad that you unlock weapons for them as in any other squad AND prem squad on top of that.
for medics this is no improvement either as it’s related to end game players anyway, while some better healing mechanic that would actually impact the game somehow would affect playerbase from full spectrum.
because most of the simply multiplayer games with high skill floor even higher skill ceilings games you seem to love, have microscopic player counts, with few exceptions
its the same reason sniper will not get lazy ass up and get in the point when team is getting recked they are not team players a sniper not in point is sniper that would not be missed in effect
Snipers have become extremely annoying in this game, both for enemies and teammates, and snipers can’t be said to be useless for fighting for points, they can be said to be completely useless. I treat snipers as a weaker assault team, because snipers can basically use full auto “sniper rifles” in the later stages of the game. I’d like to see the snipers’ long range ability nerfed so that they don’t at least have the ability to kill a few random soldiers trying to storm a position at 100+ metres.
of all things? contrarty to popular opinion I loved BF V. Only thing that pissed me off was they canned adding to it all too quickly. Pacific was cool and things were looking up…then shit canned (was the last Battllefield I bought and will remain so until they get their act together)
I haven’t played in battlefield, but in my understanding any trooper could do simple mark and when we talk about recon(as it called in paratroopers option) specialist - he should do it better(stronger, faster…XD), so as for example, if we don’t wanna to create multiple sticky markers we still could use option 2 and just give more information about presence of enemies on some area that sniper watching in his scope.
I don’t have any replay as for now…
But just logically: since I received radio/engineer/mortar/flamethrower/machinegun(I won’t even say anything about paratrooper, those are all in one…) squads I completely forgot about sniper because other squads have unique AoE tools for wiping of squads.
And sniper could be seen in kill camera and marked by other trooper from the same squad and that’s it, any other player with brain know that there is a sniper and even if you will change your position after each shot it’s still not enough because if you killed one flame thrower - there might be 2+ more of them so this is kind of unbalanced and that’s why I wish sniper could have some adjustment in terms of marking mechanic:)
The problem that I could see here is that we still could meet new players with sniper class and they could place wrong mark…
So informative mark placed even by sniper controlled by a new player will “say” that there are no enemies in this area and so will protect us from misunderstandings, while sniper mark that will last longer, placed by a new player will just add more confusion to a skirmish.
