I would love to use desert camouflage without looking stupid in Stalingrad. I would also love to use winter camouflage without looking stupid in Normandy
This would likely significantly increase sales for tank skins so it’s a W for darkflow.

i was thinking of the same thing.
let’s give presets to vehicle.
except, unlike clothing, if i buy a gray camo ( for example ), i should be able to use on all or most presets WITHOUT having to buy it again. or… just make players able to assign camouflage on various theaters as they choose.
Presets are nice in theory, but are the worst implemented thing in a video game ( due to how poorly those have been implemented ).
like changing a face in normandy somehow make the guy go on a facial reconstruction when lands in berlin.
Erika is right, camo should be universal.
Or they could do it like in WT, give one camo for each environment (summer, winter, dessert) for free.
With you unlockong them either after a certain number of enemy vehicles are destroyed (like in wt) or after a certain number of battles are played with that particular vehicle.
thats what I said too…
Sorry, I didn’t get there xD as soon as something inspires me to have an idea, I stop reading and write it down so I don’t forget it.
Allow me to quote instead of typing again
I would prefer it to be exactly like clothing preset:
You get a basic “whiteout” Tiger for Ardennes by default, you can unlock/buy with appearance orders “white and dots” or “white and nets” or “white and Das Reich decal” options, but you can’t be Trollin’ Jimmy and buy a “North African tiger stripes” camo to “be unique and stand out” in Ardennes.
(even though I realise our current Devs hate WW2 and will sell anything that sells)
Decals should be optional, not default. I, for one, do NOT want large white letters and numbers all over my green tanks—which does nothing but help to give up my position to the enemy. These types of decals do nothing but circumvent the camouflage you have on your tank.
Honestly I don’t think a cross/star on the side of your hull would give you away any more than a fat red mark moving next to your tank in real time or the tank damage camera in the top right corner would, but at the same time I would indeed not oppose that people who want to just go “stealth” have that option too.
True, but when I can find a nice dark area with shade, trees, and lots of brush… It gives me some advantage in regard to camouflage NOT having those white markings all over my tank. However, under different conditions, you are correct: I will get spotted, regardless.
He is not wrong.
White washed vehicles often had their markings covered.
Yep.
And on the other hand Americans switched to big white star in a circle on top of their tanks to not get mistakenly bombed during Normandy
Same idea as the Soviets with their late war white cross on top
