fully support this, they also should let us use the Italian uniform in Moscow and Stalingrad, on the dev server they have copy-pasted German uniforms, like for god sake the uniform is already on the game why not just transfer it? and yes the Italians also had winter uniforms(they are not in the game of course):

I understand that their priority is the merge and get it to work but hopefully we will see this considering there are still italian squads on the German tech tree, at least let us use the helmets on Normandy because I can believe that by Berlin they had to use German equipment

Italians would need to replace more weapons than just a heavy machine gun.
Machine gun rest with Fiat–Revelli Modello 1935.
Anti-tank gun could be the Cannone da 47/32 M35.
And Italians would also be able to have an anti-aircraft gun. Breda 20/65 mod.35.
