Nice addition to blunderbuss throwing mechanics
Is this something you often do? Jump in to correct one error, then leave without commenting what you feel about the actual suggestion? It’s not the first time I’ve seen you do it…
Yep
Japanese AT launchers should get bayonet as well. Just for the simple fact of being Japanese.
The bayonets should also come with smaller bayonets attached to them.
Yep, I already know it from russian forum.
I remembered, that Mkb could have it, so i thought, that stg could too.
Actually, bayonet give some more mass to the weapon, so it’s make a little difference.
but all the rifles were shot without a bayonet, so this will reduce the accuracy of the shot
Or more simply:
It would be better to make logical penalties for weapons with bayonets, like penalties for the speed of changing weapons, getting into vehicles, etc. There is also a mechanic when a weapon rests against an obstacle and cannot shoot. It can be aggravated for bayoneted weapons. It is also possible to deprive weapons with a folding bayonet like the Mosin 44 carbine or the MAS36 of these penalties.
Hopefully (I acknowledge not all weapons were created equally) the firearm you’re weilding was designed to be as well balanced as possible for shooting. Sticking a bayonet on the end makes it (marginally) heavier over all but more importantly it makes the weapon more front heavy (distorting the centre of gravity). Whatever benefit you gain from reducing mussle-climb from recoil (from moving the centre of gravity forward) is ofset by the fact that you’ve just made your gun more unbalanced and harder to aim with.
It should not be objectively better in the game to have a bayonet mounted (if you have the option to). Period.
